Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine; that's right, it's a lovely evening in Scotland!

Supermarket shelves have been cleared of sausages and haggis burgers as BBQs are lit after a 12 month hibernation.

I've been tidying the garden, mostly 'over' foxgloves. Also bought more moss balls for the aquarium, or rather one large one which I divided.

It's a way of ageing a sheep by counting how many teeth it's got.

When they get old they get broken mouthed- because of losing teeth & it gets hard for them to eat, so kinder to dispatch before they starve.

We're on holiday=which is kinda strange as we ain't been away much for a long time= lovely & peaceful place. Gonna sleep soon as feel really tired out.

Rather quiet in here.....which must mean many folks are having a good time somewhere else. ;) Or maybe, like CTC and me, they're manically sorting something that has to be finished quickly.....How's the floor going CTC?

Kitchen floor man came, as promised, at 5 pm Friday and the floor was levelled by 8.30pm. I watched....and learned! ;) He said he did these jobs late because people might walk on them if he did it early. We just went outside and round, but keeping the cats out was the biggest problem!

He also asked us whether we wanted to "go home," in which case he would lock up. We politely pointed out that we'd been living in these less-than-ideal conditions for some time and this is our home! :rotfl:

Kitchen starts to go in tomorrow, so we're madly painting walls and tidying coving etc. This is our only big spend room, so I hope we've got it right......

Glad DD is into uni lucielle.
Grades at A level are not a great indicator of later performance, just as later performance doesn't always show exactly how useful someone will be in a workplace situation....and don't I know it, having supervised plenty of graduates in my time.

The newly-weds here have had a reasonably decent weather for the week in their caravan, but then the last time they were here was February, I think, so not hard to beat that!

    Well done Lucielle DD.
Hope your weather is as glorious as here.

It's all coming together now Dave. Hope it goes smoothly.

We are off to explore this beautiful countryside.
