Anyone grow Veratrum viride (Indian Poke)? I quite fancy one for the shade garden.

Planting the aquarium continues, aquatic fertiliser every week plus I need higher-wattage daylight lamp for the plants...Zebra danios are always on the move, hence the motion blur.

No, but I quite fancy one. The leaves look particularly good early season.

Not into polk salad though, with or without Annie! Look what it did to Elvis!

Thought you might like a couple of photos I took today...

Sparrowhawk sitting on the bird seeder.

Sparrowhawk hiding under the buddleia waiting for the little birds to come back.

When a young greenfinch came and landed close by I knocked on the window, it ignored me to begin with, but then OH hissed and it flew off closely followed by the hawk. Since then one that looks the same has been back on the seeders, so fingers crossed it escaped!

    Gorgeous day here.

Lovely potter about Seahouses, Banbury Alnwich & just drinking in the different landscape & seeing the curvature of the earth.

Well done Alfie on your profiteering escapades.

Sorry that it's raining Lucielle - rain? What rain?..............Goodness, it's good to see a bit of what Summer feels like. Good for the ole bones.

Gosh, choille, you'll be turning into a soft southerner!

Seriously, glad you are having as good break. :T

It was quite pleasant here today, so I took some time out from painting to do some rapid cutting-back and weeding in the areas formerly known as 'garden.' It's all got away from us this year, but at least if I can keep it semi-tame, there's hope for next. :o

The first of the plums are with us, and loads more to come.

We have the kitchen painted and ready for the guys who'll be starting to fit it out in the morning. It was tight, but we can afford to relax a bit now....and get back to doing the bedrooms! :)
