he has probably just sent/answered to the wrong seller. you have a list in front of you that youve bought and then have to figure out pick ups... easily done [says i :o ] especially if hes a builder etc.. or hes a twit :D :rotfl: p.s. did you sleep well ? ;):D

    Oh, OK. :)

Yes, slept like a baby....so nearly had to change my pants!:rotfl:
  • Hope everyone enjoyed the extra hour in bed :)

Weather here is worst than after 'Gonzalo' hit with stronger gusts of wind and rain squalls. I'll probably be dark by 4pm :(

P.S. Did anyone watch "Big Dreams, Small Spaces" last week (or on iPlayer)?

Ha fat chance of an extra hour in bed, the animals don't know any different so it was up at dawn as usual. However I do like having day break back at a sensible time in the morning. And I did feel the benefit at the end of the day, now bedtime is so early I have hours and hours after the animals are done to peruse other activities, including a social life :rotfl:

I have that monty don series recording and saved for just such an evening, I do like him, what did you think IHS

It's been raining here pretty much non stop for nearly a week, no heavy rain, maybe an odd heavy shower but mainly that drizzly mizzly stuff that leaves droplets on the everyone's coats. The price you pay for living on a mountain I suppose!

DH and I have been making solid plans for an extension to our house, currently the kitchen is tiny and falling apart and the bedrooms aren't big enough either. So we'll knock the kitchen through downstairs, and have a dining/lounge bit, all dog free! then upstairs we'll add an extra bedroom and en suite for us, and try and keep the box room as a fourth bedroom to perhaps add value to the house.

I've been avidly watching all the architect type programmes to get tips, particularly how to keep costs down and to give a sense of space when there isn't much, with clever tricks and ideas. There's some good'uns out there, I just need to find one here, and one that can give me cost options. Any hints from those with recent experience gratefully received!

I like the thought of leaving the building materials exposed, the concrete floor being the finished surface for example. Save money by not covering it up with another layer and make it a feature.

It's ridiculous, we bought a kitchen about a year ago and never got round to having it fitted. Now we'll have to work the units into the new layout, and store it for probably another year - at least it'll be paid for by then :rotfl:

Well it's nearly time to start thinking about putting everyone to bed, so early and it's not even November

Well, I keep getting timed out too.

We've had over 7" of rain the last couple of days. It's still throwing it down.

    Completely disgusting........

I saw that green rain blob over your part of the world in the forecast. How's the road holding up? Hope it isn't making it worse :(

Perhaps we should work on a breed of sheep with webbed hooves...and water wings :rotfl:

I had problems posting earlier, maintenance on the forums apparently

Edit: still getting time out message, just clicked back and sent post again

I'll not say too much then, as that's horrible, but we got the right kind of weather here for our last bit of roofing. Just10 tiles left to lay, when it got too dark for safety.

I'm so relieved. Whatever else we get up to in the next few months, we'll at least have the proverbial 'roof over our heads' again. :)

I really didn't think we'd still be at roof level in October, and if it hadn't been for the engineer.....Ah well, no harm done. :undecided
