We ate very well tonight, and plan to eat well tomorrow too.
hopefully that will earn me a few days out of the kitchen and living on cold cuts and left overs.

the other thought I had, sounds silly, but get an old wooden fire surround , but out it up on a plinth, and bring it forward from the wall and make it look like a fire surround..
a bit like the one on this site ( 8th picture down)

the hood is similar.... you would have to build a support either side of cooker to take the frame if you try the fireplace look. perhaps a brick ? but that one in pic rests on a counter top, will you do that ?0

Well I've been looking at vinyl flooring & cork flooring....so I must be bored & I insisted on opening my pressies, so that's all done & dusted - no point in getting up tomorra then.0

I do no catering as I wouldn't dare have anyone down here, but cook well for us.
Went outdoors to look at the sky & a long tailed mouse was up the tree at the fat balls. It just sat there dazzled in the torch light for ages - wonderful.0 -
