Gosh alfie, do you ever get some time to just slob-out?

I managed it yesterday. :D Today was a bit more active, but it was just indoor DIY due to the rain. Apparently, it'll be possible to do some outdoor jobs again tomorrow. I got a few cuttings taken today and into willow water, but then the heavens opened....:(

Our village is going to have a produce & flower market in 2015, though I can't remember if it's once a week, twice a month, or whatever. We'll have to produce something for that. The only plants I have in bulk at present are perennial stocks, foxgloves and aquilegias so we'll have to just busk it for a while. :o

I hope everyone reading had a happy and peaceful Christmas. We had our quietest ever, but it was none the worse for that! :)
  • Aflie, sooo glad your family likes our meat... we have one going some time in janaury, ( he was supposed to go in December, but I didn't book it early enough to get bacon and gammon done too)
cant wait ( BUT sad in another) as I bought bacon from a farm shop, thinking it would be nice bacon, BUT it was tasteless and just like supermarket bacon..

A friend of ours who used to have pigs, but now comes to the livestock markets with us for a day out etc.. used to dry cure his own bacon..which you don't see for sale very often, Sooooo we are going to give him a bacon joint, to show us how to dry cure it etc.. which should be interesting to taste....

was mooching through rightmove last night .. as I love just looking in people's houses for ideas lol, plus even though we got the ranch now, I want to keep an eye on prices, especially to gauge what type of price we might get for house no1..

as I told hubby last night if we 'tart' this place up.. and 'cover-up' the cracks etc.. put the odd new window in.. we might be able to wing it to get what we owe on it back.. but again this is just a calculated guess, I might be totally wrong lol..

This is the year we really do need to sort things out...

right going to look for a corner bath panel as the one in house 1 has totally gone yellow ( plastic upvc thing) see if I can pick one up cheap in the sales..

  • are you all out bargain hunting????lol

went to Asda earlier to get some bread, it was like Christmas eve food shopping, it was heaving ...

cooking a lovely leg fillet joint of pork... and the house smells lovely... pork dinner later..

No snow here, but it has been raining all day, with sleet mixed in... going to be a cold night...

Yes, 15th still Choille day. I have loads of old cardboard boxes to burn. I always grab the banana type boxes when shopping & use them afterwards for logs - bringing them in the caravan & then when they're jiggered I burn em.
Glad everyone had a nice time - sorry about your tree Phoebe. You must be tired, but it's hibernating weather - really, cracking frost here. I do feel quite lazy so it's just a matter of do the animals & do our grub & do the wood stuff & little else.

Just trying to work out a MC Escher pattern that I'd like to do in vinyl on the bathroom floor, but I will need a steel edge & sharp blade & sharpen up my measuring/cutting skills.

Just listening to the radio as the TV seems a bit boring..........
