been making a start on the floor today, there was about 3 different lino's PLUS sticky tiles lol..
I was wondering why I was feeling sea sick when I was walking in the kitchen part.. but from front to back its level...
I am sure years ago, when houses had flagstone floors etc, there was a small drain in the corner, with the floor slanting towards it, so when they washed the flagstones, the water would run to the corner drain,
so its job and finish in work all this week, and our friend who helps us, is off all week, so will try and get a good bit of work done in the ranch

funny enough I said that lol, BUT with the other layers of flooring being glued on top of it, and half the tiles missing, and some of the ones left bubbled up, don't think we could save them...Work to live= not live to work0 -

Laurel. Very poisonous! I hate the stuff from when I was a child, we ripped up the laurel hedge in front of our house and OH took it to tip. Turns out he was lucky to survive. It was hot so he had all windows in car open. Laurel gives off cyanide gas, in sufficient quantity to kill in an enclosed space like a car.
Not a shrub to use anywhere a small child will wander unsupervised.
Actually in my view not a shrub to use anywhere at all, it's totally ghastly, ugly, and altogether something that should never be planted or propagated!0 -

It's toxic, but children have been wandering around laurel for decades, in parks, and even schools. It's not on the same level as monkshood. Just don't put it in a shredder!
As to uses: it provides a quick screen....and deer don't eat it. Also good for sound deadening, hence Mr Dog getting a whole hedge of it next to his place. :rotfl:
There are alternatives though, such as the viburnum I mentioned, and this one:
