Took £500 out today to lend to my best friend, he was about to get a wonga loan. I get it back within a week with £50 on top and a nice lunch too. Super!January 2025 - Debt £20,0060

That's a kind thing to do, grassgirl. It's always nice to be able to help a friend in need. Good result all round:T.0

Just checked my Zopa account and the £50 I have still left is averaging a nice 6% growth (after Tax), so might add to that once I hit my £1k target.
Have now got a stinker of a cold, so hopefully this will have cleared up before I go to see Aussie Floyd on Tuesday (tickets purchased when still working).Never Knowingly Understood.

Must take a look at Zopa but reading between the lines of your post I assume it's not for easy-access money that might be needed quickly to cover a sudden emergency. Will have to leave it for a while if that's the case but will certainly bear it in mind for 'real' savings( if ever I have any:rotfl:). thanks for the 'heads up', patman.
Make sure your head is clear for your interview on Wednesday. Good Luck.:beer:0 -
Hi All
Savings now up to £171 but I hope to get it up to £200 by the end of the month.
I was hoping that I'd reach £250 but I've had to make the final payment towards my daughter's PGL trip in April and start buying some of the items needed.
Still it's better than nothing.
