I assume you're talking about the Election result. Personally, I couldn't be happier:j. Things can really start to get better now:beer:0 -
Well, the last time the Tories controlled my local Council, they went against public opinion, ignored all the advice given by the then MP and a few local experts, and embarked on building 'Firstsite' (if you want to know what that is, just google it).
The building was 'only going to cost £13m at the most'. £In the end, it cost £24m. It also cost the Tories many seats at the local elections.
They also commisioned the Stanway Western Bypass to relieve traffic flow around Stanway. The end result is that from 16:00 - 17:45 every evening, it takes 30 minutes to drive 1/2 a mile due to the resulting congestion this road now causes.
As you can guess, we Colcestrians don't have much faith in the Conservatives abilities to run our Town.Never Knowingly Understood.

Aahh, I agree that local government can leave a lot to be desired! Ongoing saga of selling the cattle market in my nearest town, supposedly to replace it with a new state of the art version elsewhere (on a totally unsuitable/inconvenient site that will cause more problems than the existing one is supposed to be causing). None of us have any doubts that the real reason is for the council to sell off the site for house-building at a massive profit. Must have cost hundreds of thousands so far on various consultation fiascos which always come to nothing. It's been going on now for about 5 years:(. This is local government though, not national.0

Wow, Trixxibell, that's brilliant:T
Finally had my car fixed and serviced and am happily back on the road:j. Well, not exactly 'happy' I had to pay for anything car-related after all the other money it's cost me this past 6 months:mad:. Could have been a lot worse moneywise though and I'm not having to take anything from my EF to pay for it. Had the proceeds in cash at home from some stuff I sold recently all ready to bank in my EF account but have used it to pay the mechanic instead. Total in EF can stay as it is:j0
