Trixxibell. Sounds as if you've had a bad time. Will read your diary as soon as I have a mo. Take care of yourself.
Sold a few bits on eBay and 5 books on Amazon over the past few days (money now in my bank account) plus received a few pounds from surveys etc.
Not going to add it to EF total as have a Vet's appointment with my cat tomorrow and I expect it will all go on that. And some:(. May have to raid the EF tomorrow as well:eek:.
Happy saving, all:beer:0 -

Poor SS & abundant. Glad to hear you both survived your ordeals.
SS, I do hope that if you were not to blame, you stick in a whiplash claim.
Trixibell, will have to hunt-down your diary and read it.
Got paid today, but did not get my money for training. Ths will come over the next 2 weeks ?. So that will all go into my EF.
Aiming for 10% by end of June (seting a realistic target is the way to go).Never Knowingly Understood.

Must feel great to be back in full-time work, patman:T even though your training money has been delayed.
No one could have tried harder to get a job, and I hope you are enjoying whatever it is you are doing:beer:0 -
Thanks CBC. The job is the first one I have done that I actually enjoy.
I have a new boss starting on Monday and already the care staff from the CTMs down have decided that if she turns-out to be a bit of a hitler, they will all quit en-masse.
Their attitude may well be down to the fact that she was a matron at a local Hospital that has not had the best of press lately.Never Knowingly Understood.

Have to unfortunately leave this challenge. Had a terrible couple of days money wise and I've switched to debt busting rather than saving. Full update on my diary if anyone is interested but believe me I'm not interesting in the slightest.
A massive thanks to everyone on here for the motivation and inspiration. Maybe see you sooner rather than later.

Plodding along until payday here ..... pets fund is coming along nicely - although it's about to be hit as the dog has to go for Physio on Mon (ongoing leg issue) and need to get some more of her tablets BUT .... at least the money is there & I'm not panicking about where I'm going to find it!!
Got paid for the election count yesterday - seriously tempted to get a hudl as I'm really, really struggling without the kindle - and it's costing me money as I have nothing to do at lunchtimes (usually read) so I'm going down the street and spending!
I do have some Mr T vouchers which I can boost towards the hudl so .... mmmmm thinking hard about it!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!0 -
I'm sorry I haven't been around for a looooooooooong time....Things here have been very difficult both physically and emotionally....
But I think I'm finally on the up....and that feels good....
I had to take out all of my meagre Emergency Fund months ago....but only this Week have started it again....
So I put in a fiver yesterday....
I'm self-employed and quite often worry about what would happen if I couldn't Work for whatever reason....I don't have much in the way of Savings.....have really bad credit so couldn't take out a Loan (and even if I could I couldn't afford to pay it back if I'm not Working)....so the need for an Emergency Fund is HUGE ....
I know it will take a long time to build up....Especially as I think I can only afford a fiver per Week....but as long as it DOES build up then I'll be happy with that and the feeling of security that comes with it will be good...
Hope everyone is well... xXx0 -
