CBC well done on the winning bet. Looks like you may well have just become our chief tipster. Got any advice for the 2:30 at Uttoxeter ?.
Seriously, I had a punt on Dave still being PM so won an amazing £0.50.Never Knowingly Understood.

Hi everyone.
#44 checking in for the first time in quite a while. I had to put savings on hold for a bit as my daughter and I were involved in a car crash back in early April and my car was written off. Until I knew how much the insurance payout was going to be I was hesitant to put anything in savings in case I needed it to top up the money for a new car. Fortunately I found a decent car over the weekend which I pick up on Friday and which was under budget. Even with having to keep some money aside for car insurance I was able to transfer some money over to my savings today bringing me up to just over £300. I'm hoping that when I get paid this weekend and with regular bank tidy ups that I'll get it up to £400 by the end of the month.0 -
Hey all
I have been totally absent and away for ages...
I've had a relationship melt down, and moved house since I started - now feeling much more settled and brighter... and here to get this challenge sorted!
So - my Emergency Fund still sits at ZERO!!!
This month is a write off owing to the move - I'll be back on target next month fighting the good fight, and looking to build up that £1000.00!!!
Hope everyone is well!!!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I'm laughing at the idea of me giving any profitable tips. Gambling has caused me a lot of heartache in the past.:o. Nuff said!
I only did this one because I discovered some forgotten money in my account with that bookmaker. Such a small amount so it was worth a gamble (now where have I heard that before??????). Thought of betting on Andy Murray(tennis) but so glad I thought of the election instead. At the time no one anywhere seemed to be giving the Conservatives a hope of a majority so the odds were pretty decent. All the opinion polls were suggesting a hung parliament at that time. This bet was for a majority government not just scraping through with the most seats. I wish I'd had more money on it but was only willing/able to risk the 'surprise' amount in my account. And that's it now, no more betting!0 -

Thanks all. It was horrid at the time but if whiplash is all we've had to contend with then I count us lucky. It could have been a lot worse and as for the car it's just a lump of metal and easily replaced.
