Yes, I know lots of women like you (independent etc).
But in my personal experience, as I have got older, women have expected more of me.
A lot of the women in my own age group are now married etc.
So the single women left tend to be younger than me.
And in my experience, a woman of 20 expects more support from a man of 35.
I was giving the OP my opinion, based on my personal experience.
Yes, in an ideal world, every one would form a relationship with someone similar to themselves. But in my experience, that changed as I got older.
Oh seeing I am an older woman to your 35 then, maybe once you get to the 40's you will find woman my age (mostly I will say as there is always the exception) normally don't give a hoot about how much money the man earns/has. Personally I rather spend time with someone who is poor and can hold a conversation than a bloke who has tons of money.
As for the single mum's, there are also single dad's.
@the OP: All I can say is wow. I won't do quotes but can I just ask what century you were born in? The woman is there to reproduce and the man to work? Guess you not fitting that stereotyping yourself seeing you can't even support yourself.
I am no slave to any boss, yes I am employed but my office is at home, I have a good working relationship with my boss. He pays me a good wage for the work I do, some days its 6 hours, some days its 15 hours but my work/life balance is pretty good.
I am actually sad that someone pointed you into the direction of the potential available benefits as you have now already worked out what you could get and that this potentially could mean you can drop to part time work. So its ok for us slaves/drones to work to finance the benefits for you so you can do less? Oh ok, I always thought these benefits are for people who really need them, not for someone to be able to work less and get more. Silly me!
Would be interesting to see in 5 or 10 years time to see how well your plan and outlook on females has worked out for you. Personal guess, you be still home at your parents, single, with a 'sod the establishment' attitude....LBM 11/2009 Total Debts 11/2009 £44624 with DFD 2015

Whilst you are young then the beer goggles will mean you'll pull in clubs from time to time - but as you get older ...... it'll get harder - and the younger types will go for guys their age over and above you -and the women your age will spot you for the loser you are and go for men with a bit of get up and go about them.
My point entirely...!0 -

what a pathetic no-hoper and life-long loser the OP is. Still living with his parents...haha

My point is that as a man gets older, there are less women like you available.
So the man needs the money and lifestyle etc to attract the younger women.
Unfortunately, that is the way it works. Not always, but often.
A woman of 20 will tolerate a 20 year old guy being broke and living a student lifestyle, because he's "cool" etc.0 -

You don't have a good knowledge of ecology do you?
Bottom feeders are essential to the system.
If you were an unattractive woman, with the resulting low self-esteem, then you'd be grateful OP was interested in you.
OP admits he is a bottom feeder, but seems unhappy with life and wants to be an alpha male. But he can't.0 -
I've been gorilla trekking in Africa before and encountered a few silverbacks and I'd pick the silverback over this troll (the OP) any day of the week. They're more erudite for a start.
I was wrong. He's not an alpha male silver back.
He's a bottom feeder.
He wants a woman to stay at home?
Well he'd better check that's ok with his parents first...
He dates women who like a man to take control?
Control of what? He admits he has no life and no future!0 -
Wow, what a catch you are - employment is a last resort and form of slavery, ladies ought to prioritise breeding, while travel and education is a waste of time?
Love the way you mix your attitudes - the rather chivalrous or old fashioned notion of a lady's purpose to breed rather than earn more than her partner while shunning the attitude from that era that it is the duty of a man to work hard to provide for her....Thank god for state benefits, eh, that allow women to be the stay at home mums for low income men, as per their purpose in life....?0 -
Its amazing how these banks can't even do simple calculations correctly..............0
