SFD #1 under my belt!
Quiet day. Budgets are all sorted and cash taken out for the month.
I think I've got everything covered for the month but not absolutely sure.
The not move comes from a diffferent account so if that happens, chuckles to self, then it doesn't affect my budgets.
Not sure I can do any ebaying or similar. That will probably all come when the not move eventually happens.
Loving going into work late this week. Get loads more done and get some peace and quiet too.Feb NST #4

Evening all
Well done abundant on making your last DMP payment
Love the start of a new challenge
All my budgets started on the 25th so I have spent a lot already and have stocked up the cupboards to near bursting point. Today has been a spendy day as needed to use my second £5 off £40 aldee voucher by the end of tomorrow and I'll be in wok 7.30am-8pm tomorrowI did however spend £5.40 on soup for my local soup kitchen and I'm going to donate this instead of doing the food bank. They have a local food bank scheme there too but my friend who volunteers wasn't sure what they needed but they always need soup, so that seemed a good idea.
Also topped up the car with petrol, should have enough to get me into the third week of October.
I also earnt some extra income today as did my first tutoring session of the academic yearPaid it straight off against my loan so after paying my regular payment and a bit extra and the tutoring money, I am now under £9000 of debt
It still sounds like a lot, I can't believe I have this much debt, but its much better than at the end of last August when it was about £15000.
Hope you all have a lovely eveningLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

A NSD. Set the food budget at £80 and included the last 3 'stock up' shops in my total. Travel was 5 x £2.60 (bus fares to mum's each Friday, one way), £10 for surgery consult, 2 x£5.20 anybus tickets (one for flu jab/ repeat prescription + 1 other) and £3 for a taxi back from the supermarket, but hoping I can reduce this. All shopping/ library/ cs visits will have to be included in these travel plans.
Must get up early tomorrow to go to see if the doctor can (and is willing) to organise my transport for next week which puts the £10 back in the pot (if he's in a really good mood he might do the flu jab to save time) and if mum is still in hospital on Friday and then away on holiday 2 weeks after ( not sure if she goes mid-week or weekend) that gives more scope for little £1 each way hop into town.
Only thing I have done today is gather things for the charity shop - several gentle activities were planned but aborted :-
wrapping Christmas presents - had to stand on the bed and wouldn't let go of the window frame and couldn't feel the roll of wrap with my one free hand.
cleaning a paint tray, so the paint could go in (ready to be used up) and the large tub of paint could go out to get rid of the VOCs (and binned next time)
cooking - looked at the things in the fridge but felt wobbly.
May be coming down with something as I fell asleep (sitting up reading, still better than with a cup of cold water in my hand) twice and fumbled a few other simple tasks (feeling wooly headed).
Bank loan payment has gone out and all cc minimums + a bit went out as the statements were received. Looked at gumtr** and pr*loved, then couldn't find the list of items from the shed - was downstairs next to the phone (tried to phone the doctors twice yesterday and again today without getting through, hence tomorrow's visit - oh no it's 'co-agulant' clinic tomorrow - fights have broken out over disabled spaces and one time they brought all the chairs from the offices. See how I feel and try ringing again before I set off, info from receptionist might help.
Sorry I am not on the ball today, will get an early night. have a great month everyone. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Evening all
I am ready to jump and start swimming. This month it is all about staying out of the overdraft and trying to break even this month as we were £900 overdrawn :eek::eek:.
Well done Abundant on your DMPhugs to all that need them and feeling unwell.
We were paid on the 28th September so budgets have already began. Today was going to be a SFD I had took a flask with a mug3hot to save me money. however this was not to go to plan. I am a support worker for people with LD, this means we go out a lot and eat in public places. It's difficult for me to take pack up as these public places sell food and drink. Anyway to cut a long story short had to buy food so lost a SFD.:(
Can anyone give me some tips on what i can eat discreetly to save my money??
Played my first ever game of squash today and loved it !! really tired now though.
Will check in tomorrow been at work all day and really tired

Hi guys
Checking in with a headache and a SFD. Used half a bottle of Radox soak that was a gift so now I smell of waterlilies, have read an entire 445 page book whilst in the bath and am heading to bed suitably relaxed.
A good day 1.
Night guys. Here is to Day 2 tomorrow!

Hi All,
A slightly late post for day one.
Spend day today as did our main grocery shop to use up the Aldi voucher. I usually buy 2 papers, 1 for me and 1 for a friend but this month she also got them so we each had 2 vouchers to use. The intention today was for both myself and OH to do a shop to use them both but we ended up only using one as I really did not need any more shopping. I have a FULL freezer, a FULL fridge and lots of dry foods. I would have needed to spend another £20 just to save £5 and previously I would have spent this regardless of whether I needed it or not but not anymore :j
The other voucher did not go to waste as I asked OH to pass it on to someone with a full trolly. They were very surprised but also very pleased. In addition to this I did use most of the product specific vouchers from both papers so the cost of the second paper was recouped.
Budgets are on my computer at work so will add this to the totals tomorrow, sorry later today, and see where I am. The first week or so of the month is always full of spend days for me as this is when I do my stock ups and then I only need to top up with fruit, veg, bread and milk etc.
Congrats to Abundant on the end of the DMP. I hope you celebrate in style, MSE style that is :rotfl:
Well I think I will now try to go to sleep, currently have rotten tooth ache so dosed up with painkillers

Good morning and welcome to day 2!
luckystarr - I have no qualms about eating my own food in a coffee shop! I'm coeliac so cannot eat most of their food anyway. I do try to be discreet, but not sneaky! I'll maybe buy a coffee, then eat out of my tupperware pot, followed by an apple and nuts. Dd also has her own pots. Never yet been challenged! I guess you have to find what you are comfortable with.
mothernerd -do take it easy, and good luck with phoning the dr.
lilt - are you still all wrinkly?
Well done to those who have used vouchers and are stocked up - make sure you meal plan accordingly, eh?
Like many, yesterday was a spendy day and a money shuffle day. Very satisfying!
Have a good day!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Another NSD for me, still not going out yet
Coughing a lot less though
Sorting cupboards didn't happen yesterday so will have a go at it today.
Will have to send OH to the caravan at the weekend as I think the small man's old walking boots are still in it and I want to pass them on to family along with some of his clothes.
I'm keeping a tally of everything on a notepad on my mac as I totally lost track last month.
