Evening all
Hope everyone that's ill feels better soon, seems to be a lot of it round lately and reminds me to put another pack of anti-bac wipes in the car and be thankful that I never really suffer with cold's, probably the amount of Vit C think the green grocer think's im scared of scurvy
first spend of the month £12.72 (food shop) hasn't half helped with how much I spent going back to cash over card something I will have to stick with also had a interim MOT I have to have 2 a year this is covered in my business expenses she sailed through as expected but with my insurance due end October I will have to find any repair expense from now until December out of my household budget which always leaves me a bit twitchy.
Yoga tonight for exercise sorely needed0 -
Unfortunately another spend day for me, unexpectedly (£18).
Have been using up food from the fridge & freezer, hoping not to go to the grocery store at all this month! Also made use of some smellies/shampoos etc. last night when I had a lovely bath, which had been hanging around the cupboard for at least a year.
Tomorrow should definitely be an NSD!
Thrifty - I took my original marriage certificate directly into my bank branch to change my name there. For passport & drivers license I had to send off the original certificate (and they did return it each time, thankfully!). For energy suppliers and the like, some simply changed the name and others did want a copy of the certificate sent to them.Letting Go NST #17

Managed a sfd today, but it was hard I kept seeing things I wanted and definitely not needed but managed to resist! Had spag bol for tea followed by a piece of hm brownie, so that's it really. First day back at work and feeling, very tired and my back is aching but I did it and feel happier, I'm not very good at staying at home with not a lot to do.
It's quite warm here, so the heating is still off and I'm off for a walk in a bit.£1 a day 2025: £90.00/365 Xmas fund0 -
Woah! How did I miss day 1's check in?! Oops!
Happy October everyone!Hope you are all grand? The weekend is so near I can almost smell it!
2 Sfd's to report so far, and 2 lots of exercise complete. One is off to a good start! Have a meal out and a night over at a friend's tomorrow after work pre-arranged, so I doubt I will squeeze a check in, in (Or a sfd). Doh!
Just keep swimming!:coffee:

First SFD of the month, have worked from home so also managed to get in sneaky exercise session before I chained myself to computer as well! Have just been out to DS1's first Parents' Evening of Secondary School, coupled with DS2's school trip assembly this afternoon am a bit schooled out now..... I feel for all you teachers out there, honest. Hubby taken both boys to the Golden Arches - his treat - so just about to dish up HM chilli with brown rice for me. Made a huge batch and nobody liked it, they prefer the jar mixes, so I'm slowly ploughing my way through the stock in the freezer. Heathens, it's not that bad :-(. Hope all the poorly turtles soon on the mend#21 Save £12k in 2025 £16977.35/£20000

Evening everyone!!
SFD #2 caught here today and 4 miles of walking done. Got a text message from Him asking if it would ruin a SFD for me if he spent money on a new mouse for his laptop. I said yes. My house, my ruleshe can buy it on his own time at the weekend!! But I brought him a new mouse home from my works junk box, and he is happy
money saved!
I've set up my next spend day so that I do everything at once. Bread, milk, 2x birthday cards, a few xmas cards, toothpaste for t' littl'un. Keeping a tally in my little journal so I don't miss anything.
Alsonearly ruined my SFD with £150 worth of perfume... - I was trying to stack it up and take advantage of 4 offers at once with Boots. 10% off, £12 of points, £15 of points, AND 3 for 2. But the 4th offer didn't take, thus I would have been spending £50 more than I wanted so I ditched it.
moohound take it easy, little by little, and let your mum spend. I have long since stopped arguing with mine. They like doing it..
Well done everyone so far! I am off to chill a bit this evening and do some Xmas pressie research. Mainly researching how the giant box containing my sisters present to Jellytot, which is currently sat in my bedroom... is going to be hidden

Hello everyone.
Well done abundant, such a brilliant achievement. If you get stuck for meal ideas we can help you
1SFD on the 1st for me. Today though I had to use up the £5 Aldi voucher so did the food shop a day early. Not too bad, £50 for the week - it was £80 at T last week!£2 Savers club £0/£150
1p a day £/0 -
moohound - sounds like you got a lots of items for your money/points! Well done!
thriftylass - can't believe you were food shopping with the littlies at 6.30am!
sazzlebgood - hope the radiators are good when they finally get turned on!
tori - I shop with cash too - soooo much better for keeping on top of what I spend.
Well done to all those who are using up toiletries and eating from the store cupboards and shopping with a list and sticking to it! Special mention to lilt for not spending £150 on smelly spray stuff! It would wash off in the water anyway...
Am having to take it all super easy at the mo - have had a stinker of a cold that has made all my muscles go weak and feeble! When we had a fire drill at work this week, I ended up having to sit down on the playground as my legs wouldn't keep me up!
Keep on keeping a tally of walking/ cycling/ car miles turtle triathletes!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
SFD again today.
Was going to try and go a week or so without spending but my work boots have broken on me. The insides have gone at the ankles and I am now sporting two lovely blisters.
I could get the work issue ones for free, but, they aren't great and are rather clumpy. I would rather spend £20-£40 of my own money and know they will last for a few years.
Will have to jiggle some of my budget already to get them, but, needs must.
And I appear to have picked up some sort of bug. My stomach has been 'delicate' all day and now actually hurts. The delicate I can get on with, the sore, not so much.Feb NST #4

Erm... I might fail the motor miles thing.
We are taking the bongo (campervan) down to Alt0n Tow3rs and back which will cost a fair bit from up here. 386 miles according to googlemaps.
Erm... it is budgetted for though and. will be awesome fun...
Spendy day today as I needed to get petrol. 4p off per litre thanks to tescimos but still that is £40 gone from my budget.
Posting might be a bit lax this weekend as we are heading to London and staying with OH's sister so can't be on internet all weekend, it would be rude.
Going to be fantastic though.
