A NSD. Quiet day. Have filled in lots of forms to take to the hospital tomorrow. Hope they are helpful. Lots of photos taken of things to sell - more to do but the light had gone. Two items sold to DS3's friend.

DS3 is planning to feed me pizza after my operation. On asking what help I could expect after surgery meals as above, shopping can do a bit but you know what I'm like with a list, housework DS1, carrying (meals/drinks) already do that (if I can catch him as he is going downstairs and before he starts coming back up).

I will survive. Tired again now. Two lots of washing done (half brought back in). Water freezing to take with me, may buy sandwiches as I go along (bread in freezer getting low and would like to do a small shop for salad type things and a loaf would take up too much space). Have had a couple of mostly sandwich and soup type weeks (feeling under par so need raw veg boost). Have a couple of errands to fit in tomorrow but most of the day will be taken up with the appointment and travel - don't want to over-stretch myself.

    Keep going turtles.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Spent 80p today, got the money for my pram, and they wanted a load of other stuff, so made £160 all together - :) very happy, that will pay for the rest of our pitch fee £28 next week and a few nice pub lunches as well.

I don't think i'll be venturing out much next week so will need a good book to read in the caravan while the others are out walking/biking, still wheezy and breathless and i don't think ill get up the hills, but will enjoy the fresh air and the scenery anyway.

I've managed another NSD - I find them so empowering!

Today was a training day up in town, which went well, and had really good food. I often find that the 'snack' provided for me at coffee time - needs to be gluten-free - is an apple. Unimaginative! This time, I had brownies and jaffa cakes - yummy! And the lunch was also excellent, with them offering to cook me a chicken thingy if I wanted it. I had the salmon, so didn't need special attention.

I've been playing my own percentage game, as extra pennies that I want to pay off the mortgage this month. Small Tilly Tidies really do make a huge difference!

Exercise-wise, October has been a washout for me! And my eating habits have degenerated greatly! Therefore, I have been starting to plan my November attack, and am hoping/planning to go Primal for 21 days. With planning, it should be simple. Famous last words??

I did enjoy pondering my dreams. It was interesting to note that I don't have any wild ones - maybe my sensible side is too dominant... :D

Hope tomorrow goes well, mothernerd, will be thinking of you.

P****ed off with OH. He wants to buy a new tablet and tries to convince me to buy a new labtop. Saying it would make live easier as they are both getting a bit old (he works in a tech based industry, so wants to have new stuff on a regular basis). I tried to tell him no, both still work even though slower that he'd like. That we still owe x amount, he is still in his overdraft, christmas is coming, we need to book flights at some point to visit my folks in Germany and the list goes on. And he knows nursery is dearer than we thought for both together. Grrrr...sorry Monday morning rant nearly over. Plus he does my head in in the mornings. I get up during the night to feed the baby, I'm up with both kids in the morning getting them, their lunches and me ready, even bringing him a coffee at 10 to 8 as a hint to get up and stop reading the news in bed. This morning he wanders down 10 past 8 (my bus is going in 10) saying ok I'll just have shower later then. Thanks, how accommodating of you. I really need to have a word with him about this and the division of work in the house too.
LOLLLLLLLLLLL thrifty don't get me started. Thursday and Friday mornings are the only two mornings I currently have to put up with Him... and even though I am running around like a mad hatter getting ready for work, Jelly is jumping on the bed with a nappy almost exploding with the nights efforts... he sleeps. And sleeps... And then when he is awake he tries to get Jelly to climb into bed with him for snuggles. Division of housework? The days that I work, he supposedly cooks and cleans. This means he asks me step by step what to cook; I have to remember to defrost the correct items, and then help out when necessary after coming home.. and then he leaves the pots until the following evening just before I get home. Never mind anything else like cleaning surfaces... vacuuming? Nope.. So, I feel you sister. And that is with 1 child, and only 2 days where this happens!!! Big hugs!

This is one of my biggest worries about my OH. He has all of the bad habits and lazy tendencies described above and I am convinced there would be no improvement if we had a little one.

Moohound hope you enjoy your holiday

Thanks for the next triathlon section apple muncher

Today was a spendy day, had to get the MOT done before holiday as it would run out just as we get back. However it only cost £70 :j which is a lot of money, but is a lot less than I had thought it might be, based on previous years. The MOT money is under next months budget so has not impacted on my spend totals for this month. Once I had lost a SFD, I then went to get bread and milk to last until the weekend. Food budget is slightly over but nothing left that we need before we go :)

Had a lovely afternoon and evening out yesterday. Spendy day yesterday as paid £1 for parking and £25 petrol to get us to the concert. Had a fantastic time and loved that the tickets were free, plus we got priority express interest and a free bottle of water, which I was really impressed with. Didn't get to bed until 12.45am so I am a little tired now.

Hope you've all had a great day. Only 4 days until the weekend :)

  • Fmess - they say having kids turns a boy into a man. They lie. I have a 2 year old girl... and her 24 going on 14 year old dad. I have ridiculous expectations placed on me to be the way I used to be 'when I was fun'. Back when I worked full time, kept him entertained, fed, watered and happy, all around a full time job. I am the breadwinner and always have been. He has a few hours a week job for pin money. It keeps him in all things gaming and that is all... and he has the nerve to complain. There is a reason he is living with his parents again currently except when necessary. Ironically that was not my choice; he decided he had had enough of playing second fiddle to the apple of his eye. Now, it is my choice. I hope to sort things out. I don't take having children with someone lightly, but I do have some self-respect so we will see how things pan out. One thing is for sure; if he doesn't grow up he doesn't come back. I wish I could be more optimistic for you, but most men I have known are either grown ups and fabulous providers/dads, or they are still children. I put it down to their mums, I really do. One thing is for sure, he idolises his daughter, and he does realise how much I do these days.

    Anyways enough about man-children.

Apple, you have outdone yourself, both with this months challenge.... and 111 SFD's so far ;) :rotfl: thank you so much for all you do :)

mothernerd I am rooting for you, give 'em hell!

Tomorrow, by hook or crook, is a SFD. The end. xx

  • Oh Lilt I can completely empathise regarding man-children! My OH is the same age!

Had a spend day today on fuel and 2 yellow sticker goodies! Also nearly crashed my trolley into Derm0t O'Leary whilst in the shop- pretty random. Had an incredibly busy day at work, the list of jobs is endless!

Happy end of Mondaaaaay everyone! :) x

Lol, my manchild is 41. And I think age has a lot to speak for too. He finally outgrew his young bachelor's attitude. He is still not perfect but improving.

Decided to worry less. Read this lovely article about a woman whos friend who never complained died. So she stopped worrying and be happy no matter what. Life is too short. One of our friends died my age 5 years ago. And this morning sth changed in my sttitude which will hopefully last. Had to get up with the babies, at least I can, having debt, will deal with them asap while still living a happy life. Childish OH, love him anyway and mold him over the years. Sorry if a bit serious for this hour.

Hope all goes well for mothernerd today.

Stay positive and a happy tuesday
