Hope you get the financial help you need mothernerd and boo to DS2 for not sorting out the old house!
Today was a spend day but hopefully the last until Sunday. Got petrol, did food shopping for next week as needed bread anyway and went the beauticians (essential for holiday at the end of next week).
Took lunch to work but found I had credit on my school account so got a lunch with that instead. Walked the dogs when got home and think I've found another paying tutee to help bring the debt down faster
Not much else to report. Really looking forward to the holiday, can't believe it's nearly timebut realising just how expensive going away is! (Kennels, cattery, parking, petrol, food money and that is after paying for the actual holiday). Oh and these fall in the same month as MOT, car tax and electrician visit, obviously well timed by me!!!

Lovely sunny day here so did bike ride back from garage. DS1 off with lurgy kindly shared by DS2, so went into work again this evening to get ahead of the curve in case he's off again tomorrow. Home via Mr T for milk - my lot seem to think we own a cow - and made mistake of asking DS if we needed anything else. Now £30 poorer with very little to show for it, really see the difference when I go to L!dl, even if I can't get everything there. Off to bed now, think I'm brewing their lurgy......#21 Save £12k in 2025 £16977.35/£20000

Spendy day yesterday, however the majority of my bills have now come out for the month, so will pop into town on sunday to get the big things I've budgeted for this month (work boots, a friend's birthday present) and make sure that they are all sorted. Categories ticking along nicely - hopefully tomorrow will be a NSD but today will be spendy as I'm meeting a friend for dinner, in unprecedented levels of socialising, this is the first of 3 this month!!! Just the small matter of a day at work to get through and then I'm looking forward to getting some jobs and studying done and catching up on sleep over the weekend.

Do you mean the signature at the bottom? Go to User CP and then there is a link on the left Edit Signature.
Today should be a SFD. Might smoke some YS salmon for tea and make some into fish goujons for DS.
Had a wee money chat with OH yesterday and showed him my spreadsheets about nursery fees and how much is going where out of my salary. From December (once the left over childcare vouchers are used up) he said he'll chip away at his OD and give me money to put away as he can't be trusted with that. And he'll look through his bank statements to see exactly how much he's paying towards bills out of his paycheque.

Hiya folks, its Friday sorry didn't check in yesterday I was keeping myself busy to avoid spending - it worked -afternoon off, sparkling house and another sfd in the bag. 9 in total so far woo hoo.
Paid 58.78 off my credit cards last 2 days broke but happier balance is now 6500.00.
Its my birthday on Sunday so have hinted I would like some pennies to pay towards a ticket for Queen I have brought for next yr, fingers crossed.
Went on a date last night, nice lad bought all the drinks, did offer. Not sure how it went really, anyway night out and he has texted me again this am so you never know!
Phoenix I did the British Gas cover last winter, did it without the annual service and paid extra as didn't want to have an excess to pay on a call out, cheap under 10 pounds, then cancelled it in the spring. Think there is about 2 month qualifying period. I need to sort mine out again, left it bit late really but its worth it.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -

Hello everyone :hello:
I hope everyone is OK and plodding on we are just over halfway there now.
I have been doing a lot of thinking and evaluating what i need to change.
Mothernerd My biggest problem is food shopping/planning and buying things I don't need.
Liltdiddylit Oh my goodness I thought that was just me !!!. I have been known to spend over £600 one month on food shopping (very embarrassed about this figure). I know this is a definite area of improvement. Thank you for sharing it has made me feel like I am not the only one !!
Stewby Thank you for the tips, I will look at the pots, How do sort money for the pots. Is it loose change or specific budget for it.
allie23 and dolly84 Thank you for your input
Calling14 I am thinking I will start shopping online again as I am terrible for putting things in my basket and going off from my list.
Caeraugirl I am still working in getting YNAB need to show i can budget next month and stay out the overdraft.
So I have decided on the following three areas to concentrate one
1. Food budget - this will involve planning my meals and using what is in my cupboards shopping online and only buy milk/bread and salad.
2. Stay away from the town centre and shops in general, plus online shops as i have been buying things from et3y for my papercutting hobby !!!
3. Clear the overdraft and ensure that we stay out it next month. Once that is cleared we can focus on paying off Mam and holiday .
Phew that's a lot of things to be getting on with !!!. Not thinking about Xmas until November pay day as determined to get straight.
Again thank you so much for all your help i am really greatful.
I am so determined to kick my debts bum .
right I am going to have a cuppa tea and relax my head is hurting now lol.
will check in later guys
THANK YOU xxxx0
