lilt - sorry to hear about your mum. Hope the 2.5 weeks pass quickly for you.
samiszel - can you park further away and....walk....with the bags? Or combine it with other purchases?
mothernerd - you make me think of the peom that goes something like: when I am old (sorry!), I shall wear purple, and a red hat. I love the attitude of the poem! Hope your selling and giving all come together for you.

After being so determined to not put the heating on until November, I put it on today! We don't have a tumble drier and clothes and currently starting to smell as they're drying so slowly. Grrr was hoping for lower fuel bills this year.

Thinking of you and your family Lilt.
Spendy day yesterday, as bought healthy snacks to keep in my cupboard at work to stop me raiding the chocolate! However, car parking was then bizarrely free - the barriers were up, saving me £3.50, so I figure that counterbalances the shopping! SFD today hopefully, and I sold a book on Amazon so will be getting £18 into my bank account. Still have another one listed so you never know, that might sell as well.
Now have to go and argue with my uni, who have topped off their usual lack of organisation by posting the assignment with the tracked changes showing the tutors arguing about it. Not only is it more colours than a christmas tree, it's insanely hard to understand because they're all disagreeing. <fumes>Proud to be debt free September 2014. :j

Sorry to hear your news Lilt.
A small spend day for me as Wednesday see's me a cooked lunch with a kettle bell class after work, I've yet to find a food thermos that keeps food hot enough for my liking after 5/6 hours
Youngest lad has also started putting a amazon wishlist together for Christmas I had a sneaky look and grateful that for once it's mostly clothes so kills 2 birds with one stone, we've slowed down with the eldest as he is working it get's a little more frugal and a little less festive each year, we are not religious and the fun goes out of Christmas once the kids stop believing, so it's just another a life's hassles to me0 -
Lilt, I am so sorry to hear about your mum's bad news. Hopefully the 2 and a half weeks will pass quickly. Sending hugs. xx0

Hugs Lilt X
Today I need to pop to the shops and get scourers, milk, bread and formula. And definitely nothing else. Forgot that there is two weeks of no council nursery funding for 3 yo this month so had to write a bigger cheque to the nursery this morning than was in my budget. I adjusted my budgets for the next months though.
DH and I need to go through our monthly bills again now that I'm working. From Dec (once we used all our spare childcare vouchers up) I'll pay at least 76% of my income towards bills, nursery and groceries and the rest I use for saving for us. Whereas he, I think, only spends 55% on bills like mortgage and the rest is his HOWEVER he still has a OD!!! Definitely need to address this ASAP.
Desperately needing another pair of shoes and a rain jacket to get to work dry. Might have a look at M&M D1rect as I've seen a few quality bargains there. Not planned either but needs must.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Night all
Do you think the weather is unusually cold for early October or are we all in a state of shock and feeling it so much because it has been warm for so long? It is bright here today and the sun is shining so hopefully one side of the house will warm through.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
