    Hi gang

I am bagging a sfd already as Ive spent the day lounging in pj's and eating before getting ready for tonights mini night shift! I should get a further 3 sfd in the coming days which'll boost my tally..

Not made much headway with the cc this month due to the £570 overdraft that got automatically cleared with last months pay. Minimum cc £25 payment is due to go out in the next week, I may try and match it towards the end of the month although I'm on a really tight budget already :/

Tori, my friend is doing much much better now thankyou :)

CEW snuggle up in the warm today.. take care of yourself and blitz those bugs :)

have a good day turtles

Rightio.... Total spent in London (excluding flight) is: £176.55!!
    :j

Considering it was London, that is not too bad really. We had an amazing time. We went to the Tower of London and saw the poppies... it was awe-inspiring and really brought home just how many sacrafices were made for us. We also went round the HMS Belfast which was great fun (and quite a lot of exercise). Finally, we wandered around London itself. We went to borough market which was great, Hamleys which makes me glad we don't have children (I would have bought half the shop if we had) and Harrods.
    :D

Erm... so I think we did okay. Fingers crossed we do just as well at AT later this week.

Stewby, not bad at all. I read somewhere a couple of weeks ago that a weekend in london is more expensive than a trip abroad!! So well done - MSE London trip. I love Hamleys... Remember vividly going in there when I was 6 and being in awe of the dolls houses and the teeny tiny furniture.

Take food to AT... There are BK & MacD's there, but it is £15 to feed the two of you! Minimum... But plenty of places to put rucksacks etc safely on all the rides!

Defo a SFD here. A bit of 'exercise' walking around and about fetching and sorting Jelly. She has a Minnie Mouse sticker from the dentist, and all 10 of her teeth (She should have double that by now!) are fine and shiny clean! Hilarious fun, if you imagine me, the dentist, the nurse, and Him straight from work, all stood there with our mouths wide open, saying 'AAAAHHH' to make Jellytot join in! Few tears but not bad in all! 6 months we go back for a new sticker!

Have got cottage pie, with sweet potato mash for tea. Jelly turned her nose up so she has more of her spaghetti bolognese. Hoping for a quiet evening, maybe a bath after Jelly in bed and then a marathon 'Castle' session on TV. Love my nights to myself. Tucked up, curtains closed, hot water bottle and a onesie. I am so rock n roll! xx

Evening all, won't be a spend free today as I have to get fuel - first fill up of the month though. Been tracking my milage and done only 26 miles so far this last week!

Swimming tonight with a friend - free entertainment as it's included with my rather lonely feeling gym membership. First exercise of the month - need yo kick start that motivation!

Using up some chicken and potatoes in a mini roast tonight be gore they go off. Left over curry for lunch tomorrow. Added some extra veg so it makes lunch for weds too!

Hope everyone has a good one

Finally, another NSD! Even better than that: I had a free lunch at work, then had dinner given to me at a neighbour's house when just visiting. So tomorrow I can eat what I had planned on cooking this evening!

Enjoyed a bit of a Store Cupboard Challenge yesterday- used up a couple of tins and a few bits that had been lurking at the back of the freezer for a while. All very tasty too.

My mother always buys far too much for her household, so handed over a few pots of yoghurt, spring onions, 12 rolls toilet tissue & a can of furniture spray when I popped in today.

Am attempting to see how long I can put off turning the heating on. Till November? I'm currently in a thermal vest, pyjamas and a dressing gown.... at 7:30pm... :p

    Evening all,

Just popped in to say tooth pain is getting a little better. Painkillers are lasting a bit longer so taking less but they still knock me sideways when I take the stronger ones. Will see how I sleep tonight before deciding whether to go into work tomorrow or not.

I have to admit to finally setting up the heating schedule and switching it on. We only have it on for a couple of hours in the morning and evening and only then if the temperature is below 18 degrees. Once I feel a bit better we might switch it off again but I seem to feel the cold at the moment.

Will try to update budgets etc tomorrow

Hmmm. The heating. And keeping it switched off. (anyone notice which smilie I chose there?!) Or when to switch it on.

    Potentially a contentious issue!

The further north you are, the older your property, the iller you are, the less mobile you are, the earlier you have to get up in the morning, the condition of your rented property....

Triathletes also need TLC, so just don't get frostbite, hey!

Have been trying to locate a good (and cheap!) source of fleecy material with a view to lining our curtains and making a couple of door curtains. No luck so far. May pop into primarni and ch shops to see what's out there. I think it's the sudden change in the weather from teeshirt and shorts and sandals, to long sleeved tops plus fleece jacket, jeans, and thick socks! Dh has requested the heating be on in the morning - he does get up by 5.45, so I have turned the thermostat up. To 16!!! He may get fleecy jamas to wear at Christmas!

Dd - who is SUPPOSED to be going to sleep - has just called out to tell me that her school are doing 'love in a box' this year. Also called the 'shoebox appeal' I think. So we'll definitely get a couple of those done.

Happy Monday Turtles! (Despite the rain!)

Phoenix- your bicycle tale did make me chortle! Hope you are both ok?!

I can just picture it now! Hehe! Go brave, Jellytot!

Have you got an accessible ikea? They usually have super cheap fleece throws to purchase?

Another SFD for me so I am now up to 4 :T I suspect I am going to have to refuel the car very soon, so I am not certain how tomorrow will fair! I am on training for the next couple of days, nearer to home than where my work base is, so a bonus on saved mileage and fuel there!

I am certainly feeling the chill! Am layering up, drinking herbal teas, and having my lovely 'wolfie' blanket at night. It is a gloriously fluffy blanket that reminds me of a wolf! Nice toastie sleeps! I think I will have to cave soon, if the weather keeps up and swap my summer curtains for the winter lined one's. Only problem I have with the one's for my bedroom, is that they are like black out curtains, I have trouble getting up at the best of times, and kinda want to hang on to the last remnants of day light before I have to start getting up in the dark and coming home in the dark- booo!

Anywho, hope you are all warm and cosy this eve! xx

    Evening all

It is definitely time for the heating challenge! I wonder who can last the longest without putting it on?! Samiszel I am also hoping to last until November, although it's pretty cold at the moment so not sure. Instead of heating I have a onesie, a fur lined hoodie, a duvet and 3 warm blooded dogs as hot water bottles :) I know when I was a student, we couldn't afford to use the heating one year and I used to pile all my clothes and coat ony bed and sleep under the pile with gloves, hat and scarf on. I might not go to this extreme this year!

Spend day today as saw a few bargains online at asder so popped in and stocked up. No exercise done but did take lunch to work and cleared out the bathroom cabinet before work so that's 7 more items decluttered :)
