Abundant and loveadove I am exactly the same! I eat way too much, then when I exercise I wonder why I'm not getting thinner so I stop exercising and still continue to eat loads. I think I'm a fairly sensible intelligent person in all other aspects but food is my nemesis. As it's Monday tomorrow, I'll be starting again with eating healthily and portion control, wish me luck and will power!
Today was a SFDSHad to buy stuff for work but it'll be refunded so it doesn't affect my budget. Walked the dogs so counting that as exercise, cleaned the house and did many hours of school work. Now I'm knackered so off to bed.
Hope you're ok mothernerd?LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Just popping in very quickly(I knew the start of this month would be hard, time wise, to log in). Had some very inspirational days at work (feel the November challenge starting to take some form!) but also exhausting, in the way you are shattered when you try to learn and to reflect! Clocked up a couple of nsds, through sheer busyness I think. Some lovely socialising Fri and Sat at friends houses, so minimal outlay. We did end up with our first takeout for about 4 months though, and breakfast out today. October is a busy month of birthdays and hospital events, so all a bit chaotic! Cheering you all on though, behave better than me! x0

Hey gang
been missing in action over the last three days due to just being busy! I had 2 pages of posts to catch up on.. I noticed there were a few posts along the way that I'd 'thanked' but it hadnt registered!
Anyrowd, Friday was an unexpected spend as a friend was taken to hospital, so emergency chocolate was bought to take with, parking paid for and then a small food shop on my way home to pick up salady bits for my juicer.
Caught up with a different friend yesterday which involved a fun spend on food to cook for our night in with a dvd and then another spend today on cake with same friend after a long cycle ride, in order to replenish energy levels
Abundant and Fmess Im the complete opposite when it comes to food when stressed. Like you loveadove, my appetite is the first to be affected and I go clean off food, cake, everything to the point where the weight starts to drop off quite quickly!I would rather lose a sfd on buying food than gain lots of sfd's through not wanting food!!
The thing that made me laugh out loud today was a 5 second comedy moment during the bike ride when my handlebar clipped a lampost, throwing me off balance and my friend hit a tree while looking behind to see what had happened :rotfl:no injuries sustained thank goodness apart from a few hurty ribs from the laughter:p

Tis Monday morning, halfway through the swim. Take a moment to lift your head above the water and look for the markers to check you are on course. Then plunge back under to keep focussed on the finish.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Morning all.
Hope your friend is OK Pheonix
Came undone today when a the min payment from a CC went out unnoticed leaving me a little overdrawn since Friday will bank today but assuming there will be bank charges to pay, bad housekeeping on my part as money in the saver's would of covered it but do so wish the bank wouldn't keep part-time hours so I can bank on a Friday as they shut at 3PM each day and their is no way I can make it due to work.
My NSD will fail over a loaf of bread, it's a painful learning curve at times
It's stopped raining and the wind has died down so I will be thankful for that, so the day isn't a total failure0 -
Sorry didn't post yesterday as I had a REALLY lazy day. OH cooked me some soup as it is still difficult to eat solid food. As well as the abscess I now appear to have a throat infection. All linked I assume but already on antibiotics so this will hopefully clear both.
Have managed to cut down on the painkillers and actually got some sleep last night. Feeling a lot better but taking today off to try to fully recover rather than push myself too far too quickly.
Plan on another lazy day but will try to catch up a little on some housework and washing etc.
Thanks for all the well wishes and hugs to everyone that either needs or wants them.
Abundant I like your plan of spending what you want for a couple of months and then starting on the savings. You deserve a little break from frugality. I just wonder if you will be able to 'allow' yourself to spend or if you feel too guilty after all your months of hard work paying off debt.
Back later to report on my lazy day :rotfl:

Good morning!
checking in after a spendy weekend (groceries, zoo, gifts for kids etc). All neccessary und only what we needed but still a bit unorganised. Today will be another spend day as I will need to post my mum's b'day present, and order another gift online.
Had to bin two pairs of shoes yesterday as they were walked through and the boots I got on today got a tear in the sole too.
Yesterday I made some bolognese/chilli for the freezer and today I got Scotch broth in the slow cooker.
Will need to look up the flylady thread or similar. Now that I'm back at work FT I find it hard to cope with keeping the house in a respectable state, never mind daily chores etc. So will need to make myself a wee weekly plan rather then thinking everything needs to be done everyday and finding it overwhelming.
Had to stick the heating on now, bloody cold and windy up here

Thrifty we are definitely on the same wavelength today!! Bolognese and giant cottage pie cooked at the weekend, plus a huge roasted butternut and sweet potato soup, half of which is split in the freezer. I now have scotch broth cooking on the stove, and have just made what can only be described as a vat of pasta sauce, with mixed peppers, onion, garlic, herbs and a touch of worcestershire sauce & lemon juice added to a carton of passata and the leftover chopped tomatoes from the bolognese. All being split up and dropped into the freezer or the fridge dependent on the meal plan. Easy cooking, and minimal meat! Will need a chicken breast or 2 to cook and go with the pasta and sauce, had one 500g tub of mince to last me 5 portions of cottage pie, and 3 little persons bolognese. Gawd bless red lentils! Loving my batch cooking at the minute and it is so nice to have such a streamlined freezer than everything fits in
Very cold and windy down here too, though thankful the rain is still in the west country for the moment. Hoping it stays off long enough for me to fetch Jelly from her morning at nursery. Don't hold out much hope of a dry trip to the dentist for her first ever check up later though. Rain, or tears are definitely coming! :rotfl:
SFD today. Need nothing, got it all yesterday apart from the shower curtain boo hiss!
Still not updated my sig with the extra miles etc. Will do it shortly! Later guys x

Hello and good morning.
Turns out OH's sister doesn't have wifi!!! So I tried to keep up reading but didn't really manage to post.
Going to the back in approximately 30 minutes to see the damage done but... a bit of a masterplan.
Spent £60 on perfume and I paid everything in London. However, mum owes me £60 for the perfume and OH owes me £45.45 for London so that is over £100 going back into the bank for the next trip.
At present, it appears that I have spent a small fortune but I came home with money so I am classing it as a win!!
Will come back with exact figures once I have been.
If I get to include my holiday budget as spend-free days then I have another 3 to add (friday, saturday and sunday).
:j
Today will be a spendy day as we need some foody stuff.
Be back later with some budget-y stuff. Keeping my fingers crossed that I won't be doing this:

Just had another three spends. Signed up to get a bus ticket by direct debit as it's by far the cheapest option, but still £40 a month, send my mum's birthday present and bought my friends son sth small.
Decided I give myself 3-4 jobs to do in the house everyday on top of the usual dishes, bottles, dinner. Todays will be laundry, tidy dining room, quick wipe of the bathroom and see what shoes I've got left, i.e. tidy under stairs cupboard.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250
