Well first Sfd in the bag.

Rest of day not gone well.

Resealing bath and gun broke on me, resorted to spreading sealant with fingers. Took ages getting all the old sealant off.

Then managed to hoover a dishcloth up, took an hr to find it, then had problems getting hoover back together.

Managed to drop 2 plates on the floor, before they smashed taken metallic paint off the fridge on the way down

Got problems with drainage on my patio, will have dig one area up again

Grandson not well got spots around his eyes? Only wanted soft food.

Besides that I managed to make some soup, blitz kitchen, half of it!
    So wasn't all bad.

Thought I should post before I settle down (hopefully) for the night.

Pain in mouth from abscess got really bad and I started having trouble swallowing. My private dentist practise closed down some time ago and sorry to say I haven't registered with a new one

Quick look on line and found a local dentist that is taking in NHS at the moment and also offer emergency service, rang the main number and got an answer phone message stating if emergency treatment needed ring 111 (free from landline and mobiles). Rang them and can't praise them enough. Lovely lady asked lots of questions after explaining that some may not appear to be relevant but they are to them, then gave me a number for the local dental triage unit. She did make a point of apologising if it was the wrong unit as she wasn't sure which county I would come under - I live in one county and doctors is just over the border in another.

Rang the unit and it was the correct one so they checked a few more things and said I would get a call from a dental nurse shortly. The nurse duly called and booked me an NHS emergency appointment for early afternoon. Final result, severe infection that has spread to my throat so a course of antibiotics and some stronger painkillers that I can supplement with paracetamol all for the princely sum of £18.50.

First time I have had to use the 111 service and very impressed :T

I have another appointment for a full check up next week and will need to have the tooth extracted when the infection is gone.

Although I have not counted the dentist appointment or the medications costs I still had a spend day as we stopped to pick up some tins of soup for me and some ingredients for OH to make some more soups for me. Pain is still too raw to eat so now the painkillers have just kicked in I am off to bed.

Back tomorrow, hopefully in a little less pain

    Chez x

Just had to Google Anna and Elsa as I had no clue who or what they were. That's the problem when you no longer have young children

    Hello guys!!

AM how exciting for DD!!! To anyone wondering, popular characters from this years Disney Movie of the year, Frozen. I cannot get away from it, and I haven't even seen it. Jellytot really couldn't care less about cartoons. If it isn't a human or a giant squidgy shape/doodled lines... she just isn't interested! Give her Mr Tumble anyday.. He makes me shiver!

Stewby hope you're having a fabidoo weekend. I love Alton Towers... so close to where I grew up but I only went 2-3 times in all, on school trips and with my friends.

Chez eeeeek  on your mouth! Colleague at work has the exact same problem right now. She has been taking antibiotics prior to it getting too painful, and once the course is finished, she too has to have her tooth out :( Hugs to you! Glad 111 worked for you. Has been a bit hit and miss with me. Anything involving Jellytot, gets an immediate, off to hospital reaction. Better safe than sorry..

Calling what an absolutely rubbish day. If it could happen, it did, it seems! Hope you are relaxing this evening!

My plans were derailed by serious rain. I had a good think and the items I need can stretch to Monday so I will do my trawl of the shops minus a Jelly who will be at nursery Monday 9-12 and then can use the pram to store everything in.

I made the butternut squash and sweet potato soup. It is really scrummy and made a lovely dinner with some garlic bread I had in the freezer (Sbugs Basics! 70p for 2) - I also made a beef mince and red lentil spaghetti bolognese for the small as it is her favourite (3 portions). Made a huge vat of mince & red lentils with onions & peas in gravy for a deconstructed cottage pie (or 4...!) 500g of mince serves 7 big portions when adding in a few lentils. Madness!

Other than that I have been struggling to kick a caffeine headache. Not drinking as much coffee or tea and have swapped for water or mulled spice tea. Feel fine once the painkillers kick in!

Tonight I have some ice cream and the UFC to watch on BT Sport. :D my favourite programme & the only reason I bought BT when Him left in December. Love watching it!

No exercise, but SFD #4 :j - should be a SFD tomorrow too. Owe the lady downstairs some cash for some Christmas Presents she is holding for me. I do not ask where she got them from, and she does not tell. Brand new mascaras, £12.99 in the shop. 2 for £5. Sister happy. Yankee candles, £36.98 for the 2 according to the labels, £15. MiL happy. She is holding them for me til Monday when I spend :rotfl:

    Night guys!! Keep swimming! xx

Darn it! Just lost my post through using key commands! Don't even know how I did it. So here's attempt #2...

samiszel - you have a generous boss!

moohound - congratulations to your grandma! A great age to reach. And well done to you for doing the maths...

magsnoodle - I think we've all eaten our bodyweight in food! I ALWAYS take food out with me now, even if I am just popping out. A small pot of nuts and an apple remove the 'need' to buy anything else.

abundant - do you have a plan for November? Will you allow yourself a fixed amount to fritter? Will you start saving up for something?

Calling - what a day! I read the last bit as you had made soup and blitzed it all over the kitchen! (something I am personally well capable of!). Am glad I read it wrong.

CEW - yay to 111. But boo hiss to your tooth/teeth. Hope the meds work.

Hbbb - your use of toiletries is commendable. You must smell reaaaaally nice! Just don't waste it on the doggies. And get on with the Pilates, eh? Or will that cause the doggies to join in and render the exercise invalid?

Well done :T to all those garnering NSDs and not spending. Every single penny we save and move to our debts is moving us closer to our individual, personal FREEDOM.

Anna and Elsa, eh? FROZEN. Dd has only been obsessed for 10 months so far....! :D

Once more, I am off to nodland with dd. Nighty night all. (and no lurking on the naughty step/stairs - it all needs a good clean after so many visitors!)

Had a bit of me time last night - after the bath I used sun cream as an all over body lotion (well all the bits I can reach).

A NSD today, a tiny bit of painting done, bed moved back to it's original position, a little tidying, a little cooking (only boiled eggs, cooked tiny potatoes - to split 3 ways, salad, bombay and bravas and beetroot).

Feeling a little down so spent some time watching Dr Who bits on u-tube but the weather improved this afternoon (chucking it down earlier). A little bit of good news to end the day. The person DS3 did the commission for had challenged it and tried to reclaim £400 - DS3 knew he was difficult and had caused problems before but needed the money. He has re-drawn some of the scenes along the way and asked other artists for there help and opinions when he did so.

The dispute was in three parts and DS3 has just won all three parts - such a relief as he has already passed this money on to me as 'rent' so would have caused problems all round (may also account for the 'down' this afternoon).

Probably disappointed my mother, as well. She phoned from the hospital (I had to phone her back on an extortionate phone line) to tell me about a house in the local paper which was having an open day today. Did think about going, but would have cost £2, wasted a no spend day and would still have had to walk at the end - decided to write down all the reasons why it isn't suitable instead. I have already told her that we cannot look seriously until this is at the stage where the buyers can't back out.

Things that made me smile today - the clips I watched, getting some bits tidied away (I have empty boxes, I have things - why don't they match) and taking the drawers out of the bathroom again (DS3 hasn't noticed yet, will cut down on his bathing time as there is nowhere to put his laptop).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Today's moment that made me smile: 'bumping' into Anna and Elsa in the shopping centre and dd having a photo with them. Said photo being taken by dh, so no spend. Will blow it up and frame it for her bday!

They were in my supermarket too!

    calling - what a day!

CEW - hope you can get a good nights sleep

sazzlebgood - Is this a secondary school? are you entitled to get free school meals for your dd (or have you been in the last 6 years)? You don't have to say on here, but if so the school should be able to provide financial assistance to support your child to help them make academic progress. Lots of school trips can count towards this. If you want to pm me, that's fine.

Spend day today as bought all pet food for the month (hopefully!) and got bread. Also bought a pair of cheap winter boots for work as rain is forecast all next week and my current shoes are definitely dry day only shoes. No exercise I'm afraid, I was just too lazy to move, but did do housework.

Better get off to bed, this is very late for me!
