Hi everyone...
Magsnoodle - I feel for you. Why do you think you OD on chocolate? I'm the same... Yesterday I went to the gym, then came home, bought chips and a pastie and spent £6.00 on chocolate, crisps and general cr*p!!! It's maddening. I know it's bad for me. It's like I want to sabotage all my good efforts and keep myself stuck where I am... maybe I feel I don't deserve to better myself? I don't know... It's a connundrum!!! Love to hear your thoughts on your pattens... (and anyone else).
CEW - hope your tooth gets better soon
Celticmiss - I miss living up north!!! Could really do with a guiness right now (to wash down all the crisps and stuff haha!).
Apple Muncher - I'm planning on spending Nov/Dec wages how I want to... As of January I'm back with a mission to rebuild my emergency fund, save towards a deposit, and build up a holiday fund too...

Hey all
Had to move my planned spend day to today as I realised I had 2 nappies left in the house! juggling a small child in her pram with a walk to Mr L which didn't open til 11am anyway, so off to Wilko's where I deviated slightly from the plan by buying two £1.85 draught excluders, and a Marvel advent calendar for Him.
Then to the supermarket. Did not deviate from the list at all, and spent £34. £24 of which was nappies  - got loads of scotch broth dried mix, lentils, split yellow and green peas, pearl barley. I feel winter soups coming on.
Yesterdays soup was sweet potato and roasted butternut squash. So tasty!!
Today I am just cooking the mash for the mince and peas/gravy I cooked yesterday.
An extra 2 miles added to my total. Will update my sig with groceries/xmas spends later.
See you all x

Hi all,
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend's? It is lovely and sunny here!
Abundant I can completely empathise with you regarding self-sabotage. I am exactly the same. Really am my own worst enemy at times- especially when it comes to eating well! I think during periods of low mood, are definitely the worst times for it. In-fact my skin has been terrible this week, despite the extra exercise I have been partaking in, I have cancelled it out and more so by scoffing absolute rubbish. I've literally just sat here and eaten a load of cheesy puffs! So cross with myself as I know this is not helping my skin! I do however have some really good days, where eating healthy does not feel forced or un-natural. Can't seem to find a balance or a habit that will stick. If I am really distressed though I stop eating altogether, which also plays havoc with my skin. Anyone have any good coping mechanisms around stress and food?
Oops, slightly off tangent there. Didn't realise how passionate I felt about that topic!
I have had 2 Spend days in a row. Planned meal on Friday and then a small purchase (£5) yesterday for food to take over to a friend's for a girls night in- we all bought some food with us. Definitely cheaper than a night out that is for sure! I used my n3ctar points today to buy some hair dye outright so no money changed hands today and my 3rd Spend Free Day has been acquired! :T
Still trying to find my feet with work, I hope I start to feel more settled within the next couple of weeks. A few teething problems these last 2 and a bit weeks have made me feel a tad uncertain about it, but I shall persist.
Hugs to you all
xx:coffee:

sneaks in....
Sorry I've not posted this month.Things have been rather busy.
Have made budget of £100 for the month for everything. Sounds a lot but I'll see how it goes. Anyleftovers can go in savins pot.
Mum not very well so I've been visiting her Bit off the beaten track,so I've set £100 on one side for transport costs to go and see her. Sounds awful but she has gone into hospital and it only costs half as much to visit her in there.
Apart from travel spent nothing this month so 5 NSD. Will need onions and bread though about Tuesday.
Decluttering is going slowly. Some bits ending on eb+y later, few more pennies ;-).
Been doing a few competitions lately and this yesterday I received a lunchbox from Hartleys jelly!Exciting life I lead.

Have done well on the decluttering front today- went into the attic and brought down a load of unused stuff. Some bits have gone into charity shops bags to be dropped off this week, some onto Fleabay & the Gummy Tree, others straight into the bin. Feeling better for it already.
Haven't done so well on the NSD's though... still only on 1 for this month. Today I had to buy some tights (it's suddenly got cold down here!!) for this week at work. That was £5. And some socks (£5). Even worse was that I placed a £10 bet on a horse and didn't win (of course!). How silly am I?!?! Was the biggest bet I've ever placed and I most certainly won't be doing that ever again

Hello All
Apologies for not being on .
I Have managed TWO SFD in a row :j:j:j:j. That has never happened so very pleased with myself.
Managed a run yesterday also.
Hugs to all that need them and get well wishes that need them to.
Tomorrow will be a spendy day as it my car's MOT i am keeping everything crossed after monday's performance.
I have started to make jams and going to make some chutneys for Xmas gifts. Also doing some paper cutting to give as gifts.
I am hoping to get a voluntary place in a school to help me get on a TA's course to progress in my career.
Trying to keep frugal and not spend any money but boy it's hard.
Going to have an early night.
Have a good evening and a positive start to the week.0 -
Another SFD today, partly as went into work this afternoon - my colleague has been off sick since last Wednesday and will be off all of next week too, and didn't want too much of a backlog. Still had a chance to enjoy the sunshine at DS2's football match this morning though, has been beautiful here today after a cold start.
DH cooked dinner, now bracing myself for dumbbell session and ironing..........
Enjoy your evening everyone x#21 Save £12k in 2025 £16977.35/£20000

Checking in for today with a SFD - my lovely grandmother bought my shopping and even treated me to some fishcakes from M&S! Here's to being very lucky in grandmothers if not in mothers! So hopefully will be able to make what's in my account stretch to payday and be able to put most of what I took out of my savings to fund my unexpected Edinburgh trip back in. Woop!
