How's the lodger stuff going? Sounds like it could be a really good idea for you. Then that money could go towards a fund to pay off the ex once some of the debts are tackled. Are you thinking of remortgaging to free up the money to repay him?
I'm inspired by your pro-active nature when it comes to immediately paying off a bit of debt as soon as you get a payment in from a survey or Ebay. Such a good idea!0 -
Good morning
So the weekend has gone past, good things but mainly bad. Was feeling poorly thursday and friday, thought maybe had flu, had such a bad headache, friday afternoon fed up went to see doctor, thought I had major inner ear infection prescribed me some antibiotics, friday night early hours in agony so of to A&E, said I had to wait until antib's work, sent me home with standard painkillers, totally fed up by this point  Had been at mums so went back early hours sat am got undressed noticed loads of spots, mum round she thinks I have chicken pox  So lots more calls to NHS direct and everntually an out of hours GP apptmt saturday night confirmed yes I have chicken pox, stop taking antib's start taking some anti viral meds, so another new prescription.
So have spent £10 odd on parking, lucky my prescriptions are free. Due to being ill havent been able to do the hossie so have had to pay yard owner, had run out of hoss feed (planned to get some sat) so have had to borrow from YO to pay back, looked at ebay briefly thought it was 100 free listings but only if you took up offer first, I screwed up so £3.50 in fees I could have saved, hey ho. And off sick yesterday, used up my last half day hols but have half a day sick which I wont get paid for  Am back at work today, wont have to get a chance to order hoss feed so have done bulk order from another place, they will deliver this week, slightly more expensive but at least its done. I dont know when well enough to get more so ordered a lot, 10 weeks worth, have put it on my CC
So the outcome of my crappy weekend is financially rubbish.
My Sains CC was at £69, add in the massive food bill and it was £345  I have paid of this the hoss food budget for the month £90. I have had a small quidco payment of £2.95 and some ebay sales of £21 so new total £231. So back to square one really. I will have another £90 odd of hoss food budget next month which I wont need so will be able to use that and again prob for the following month too.

Sorry you have been feeling so poorly and that it's had such a knock-on effect financially
But, the main thing you put on is the winter's hard feed, which was budgeted for? So it's not disastrous: yes it will need paid off but as you say, there are savings in the future. It will go. You will get there.
What is your yard set-up like? Are there other liveries that you could call on in an emergency so that you don't have to pay, and obviously offer to return the favour! Could that also help with getting hard feed bought etc? Too late this time, but maybe next - or how about selling on some of your hard feed to other liveries? I'm sure you have thought of these things before though.
Hope you feel better soon0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37

Good afternoon
Thanks for dropping my mfmaybe and your comments are appreciated. It is true the hard feed is budgeted for just not all in one month, also I usually get from cheaper place but due to being ill was a bit stuck so had to get from more expensive place due to them delivering. Will use all the feed just need to be careful about budgeting as few pounds overspent.
There are a few other liveries (not many) that could help but the YO is very good and doesnt charge a lot so want to keep on side. I rang up saturday lunchtime (already previously asked to turn out in the morning) and said do you mind doing my hossie for 2 days, p.s. I have rund out of hoss food can I borrow some too :rotfl:so cant moan too much.
Just need to hammer that CC down again, I have done it once so trying again. Another small ebay sale paid so another couple of pounds to the CC. NSD today, lunch brought in and food from the freezer.
My mum kindly went shopping for few fresh bits yesterday for me, me with chicken pox is not a look I fancy taking to the supermarket , only about £10 worth and she paid and didnt want the money back. Have about 30 meals worth of food in freezer so going to keep stretching out as far as possible.

Good morning
Thankfully pox is clearing and hasnt been too itchy, still look rubbish but at least dont feel as bad.
Spendy day today, going to grab a few more fresh bits at lunchtime, taking advantage of last 10% of day card use in waitrose (next door to where I work so no comute). Also need to get cash for hossie trainer this weekend (all budgeted for).
Nowt planned this weekend, planning on being non spendy and going to try and sort the house out a bit more. Lots of things to ebay so will get on with that, need to get the pennies rolling in again. Few pounds being built up with surveys, but no payouts landed yet.Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Good morning, well bah its monday but hey ho
Worked out have 34 days left including today of working time until break for Xmas, not long at all
Non spendy weekend, packed up more of ex's stuff, nearly finished it all and then can go in loft, once that is sorted too as ex left in a mess, but at least an improvement. Did some surveys, listed some ebay items. Had hossie trainer, very wet but she was a good girl. Had dinner and some cheesy fireworks at sisters
Small signature update this morning, sofa payment out, £60 landed from quidco for my house insurance that I did in June so sent straight away to Sains CC, so looking a bit more healthier, slowly getting thereDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Good afternoon, just
Small spends yesterday felt like I had a cold coming so treated myself to a danish pastry, had loose change in purse so nothing 'extra' out of the budget. All looks on track at the moment.
Managed 16 NSD in October so pleased with thatFew bids on ebay items, only 99p's so far so hope they go up.

Good morning
Big grocery shop last night, went over budget but bought lots of things on offers I will use including 4 boxes of porridge so 40 days, I have one a day at work so will last well into the new year now. Also freezer and store cupboards are rammed, fresh bits topped up so wont need to get any bits for ages. My bill was very expensive but I managed to reduce with £12.50 of nectar points and £20 of gift cards from survey sitesMy total paid was £91.
I am now £8 over my grocery bill this month but will manage to break even as will definitely have an underspend on fuel.
I paid my grocery bill on my Sains CC as get double nectar points but I have sent over the money straight away to pay this off. This is the plan to do when that card is clear to take advantage of the offers.
I have also received £20 of a survey site through paypal today so new Sains CC total is £148
I have a few more bids on ebay so will be able to pay some more of this by next week then going to attack the Barclaycard.Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Small survey payment landed so another £3 to CC, small signature update. NSD today, lunch bought in and plenty of food in the freezer for later.
My plumber is round as we speak, he has fixed my squeaky loo and is currently cementing in my boiler flue, be so good not to have a hole in my kitchen wall, can then re-paint in there. Parents are kindly paying for this, is under £100 tho
