Spoken to the water company, cant get a meter installed as shared service so asking about single person levy. They saw that an engineer came out in 2013 but they want to try again for a meter. So an engineer booked for august to see if they can get a meter installed, if not there is notes in the system to put onto assessed charges as single person. So a possible potential saving. Have to wait till august but in hand and a possible saving, watch this space.

Gas and electric are quite low at the moment but will keep a close eye on usage as good to get some credit refunds. At the moment am £11 in credit over the 2 accounts, due a meter reading at the end of the month, so fingers crossed can get some money back next month.

Horse rent is static so cant change that, hoss food and bedding, is definitely better now its summer, am definitely stretching as much as I can, am lucky that I dont have too feed much as hossie is quite fat, definitely bought the best hoss to have on a budget ;)

Hoss trainer away till July, am down to 1 maybe 2 training sessions a month so £25 to £50 max, can definitely cut this down to 1. Farrier is every 6 weeks and cant change that.

Mortgage cant change, council tax already on single person discount. TV licence cant change either.

Sofa and Bcard at the moment are on minimum payments so cant change these figures.

Fuel and groceries are other ones I can really skim on, fuel is not excessive, have a good car that does about 550 miles on a full tank so about £60 and lasts me a month usually so dont think that is excessive.

Set myself a budget of £100 a month for groceries, includes all household items, loo roll, cleaning bits etc. Need to see if I can get this down at all. Am very good and meal plan, batch cook, hardly throw any food away and am inventive with using up leftovers. Am also growing some food this year so that will help my budget too :)

Good news is that I can borrow the laptop for a few days, solves my short term issue at least for now.

    Good afternoon :)

Message back from ex's new OH saying they will get back to me with dates, not pushing it, just waiting to see what happens.

I just need to carry on with what I am doing, making inroads into debts and savings and each day/week/month that goes by a little bit more gets knocked of the total to find which all helps.

Listed a few more ebay items last night, more photographed and ready to list tonight. Redeemed some more survey money, just waiting for it to land. Am doing everything I can to make/save money :)

Very annoying about the ex and the house. I think you're doing the right thing though, focusing on what you can control. And sometimes you need a little scare to renew the energy to repay the debt :)

    Good morning :)

Thanks peeps for dropping by, is great for the support :D

Payday today! New budget set up, managed to shave £62 of the overdraft last month, not a lot but a start. Hoping to do more this month. In my a/c is £1584 including OD, my budget is £1427, meaning should be £157 spare in OD at the end of the month, less the £62 from last month should mean a £99 reduction this month. Thats the theory anyhow, watch this space.

Last ebayer from the weekend hasnt paid so have raised a case, frustrating as could do with the pennies! Managed to list some more items last night, have 3 free listings now till end of the month, fingers crossed for a 100 free listing weekend.

Food shop tonight, have sorted list, unfortunately vouchers havent arrived but will be good for next time, believe have a few nectar points so that should help.

    Good morning :)

Lovely weekend, had some friends over on saturday for a BBQ, they paid for charcoal and I provided food, good times. Sunday spent some time with the hossie and sorted out half of my ebay pile, spent a couple of hours taking photos of most of items, neatly organised now ready to list.

£10 voucher for Mr S landed so can use that for fresh top up shop shortly, some toothpaste landed for testing too so a few pence saving.

A small ebay sale over the weekend, sent to emergency savings for now so mini goal target is off the mark. Have a few more items ending tonight and have quite a few bids, hoping people pay quickly :)
