It took me a while to find the thread, I think we're all too busy to post. I'm desperately trying to get the quilting done on sis-in-laws quilt. Of course I decided to complicate things by deciding to change colour on the different sections. I also decided to quilt rays on the yellow sunshine bit, and falling leaves on the tree bit. I shall probably do stylised cloud shapes on the blue and spiky grass shapes on the green, or do you think that would be a bit mad?

Anyway I'm just taking a quick break from my manic cleaning - I'm trying to get downstairs ready to decorate, which means putting away virtually all my sewing stuff, although at the moment it's being dumped in the back bedroom to be sorted through.

  • Well donesnoozer and rosyq your work is lovely. I have at last finished the quilt for my niece's Christmas gift. Just hope she likes it. It is often difficult to gauge if people like homemade things or not. I lost my quilt labels so had to order another lot. I must get this house organised after Christmas!!!!! I expect most people will have put their sewing away for a while. I might do some over Christmas as a friend has asked me to make some cushions. She says she will pay me but I probably will not take any money. She will be moving soon so I will say they are a housewarming gift. Well I hope everyone has a peaceful Christmas and a Happy New Year. Let us know what Quilty projects you have planned for 2015 or which UFOs you will aim to finish:A
Happy Quilting all :) below is a link to my niece's quilt.

:hello: Love everyone's pictures, your talent is amazing.
I finished the tablemats in time for Christmas and am quite pleased with them. It's just a pity that I didn't think "square peg round hole " :rotfl: After Christmas when I have time I will cut off the corners and rebind them :o
