I made a small baby quilt for a friend of my niece and I actually wrote down all the time I spent on it. By the time I finished I made about £10 for 20 hours of work. I will not make any more for sale only for people who truly appreciate them and the work that has gone into them. Still at least if you are happy with the price LilacLillie at least you will have more money to buy more fabric. Good Luck.
Have started binding my niece's quilt and should finish it tomorrow.

Good morning everyone,
I too doubt I would ever sell a quilt I'd made. Mainly due to the fact that I hand sew everything and no-one would pay the amount it would cost for me to factor in labour as well as materials.
Hopefully I'll be back to my big quilt this weekend. I have a couple more trees to make and send off then that's that. I have enjoyed making them but getting back to something for the house will be a great change.0 -
Have posted off the cushion for my great niece and have now started on some knitting for a little friend. Still have to finish the binding on my niece's quilt so will do that at the weekend. Hope everyone is safe and warm.

Went to my quilting club yesterday, we did a Christmas make of a little owl, had a buffet lunch and got a present from the bran tub. Mine was a rather nice pair of thread snipers. Will finish my niece's quilt today then need to wash and tumble dry it.

Have been busy with other things of late, back after the holidays me thinks. Need to start preparing for the class I am going to teach, so smaples to make and notes to be sorted out.0 -
I got my lap quilt out last night and started on that again. It's so nice to work on a normal project, not a seasonal one.0

Well done to you Deleted_User for teaching a course, we really need to keep these skills going and passed on to the next generation. We are trying to recruit new members for our quilting group, our youngest member at the moment is in her 40s and the rest of us are over 60! I have finished my niece's quilt at last but now need to make some little gifts for my great nieces. Also doing some knitting for a gift . Enjoy making your lap quilt aleceiffel.

Market was a disaster darling, as CGH would say on Strictly. We made all of £2.80 after clearing the stall rent.
Hope we do better at the farmers market on Friday.0 -
What a shameCsarina good luck at the farmer's market. Spent all afternoon searching for my quilt labels, I want to put one on my niece's quilt but can't find them anywhere. This house is so disorganised !

I'm so sorry you didn't make money Csarina, it seems people are only willing to pay for cheap tat.
I've finished the top of sis-in-laws quilt, I'm just piecing a strip to go down the centre of the backing fabric and then I'll be able to sandwich it for quilting. I'll also get the binding ready to go on. I want to get to that stage fairly quickly because I want to put everything apart from my machine away for Christmas.0
