Sounds like everyone has been very busy. Went to my sewing group yesterday and managed to start a little cushion for my great niece. Hoping to spend most of tomorrow sewing as I'm up to date with house stuff and no errands to run.

Not sewing just now, I had my cataract done yesterday, so no sewing for 2 weeks.
Hope I have enough for my stall.0 -
Deleted_Userhope the cataract op went well, shame no sewing for that long but you probably won't feel like it anyway. just tried to put the backing on a quilt but have ended up with too many puckers so going to iron it all and start again... wish me luck!!!!!!!

Have just put the machine needle through the fleshy part of my finger
So have had to stop quilting for a while, blooming hurts but serves me right must remember to turn it off before I try to remove lint

I'm back, I did no sewing at the weekend, but I'm now revved up because I chose the fabric and decided how I was going to make the quilt I want to do for my sis-in-law. I think that's what has been causing me to lose enthusiasm - I saw lots of patterns I want to make but I wanted to get this quilt out of the way first. It's actually going to take quite a lot of planning and fabric audition but I
love doing that.
Csarina, I hope your eye heals quickly.0 -

No quilting for me over the weekend as I've been away, but I'll crack on with Mum's runner tonight.
Might have to bob into John Lewis this week and pick up some Christmas fabricThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I've made a start on sis-in-laws quilt and I'm happy with the way it seems to be going. It's to remind her of a road trip we did in New England in the fall a few years ago, it was a magical trip.
It means lots of planning because of gradual colour changes so quite intensive but the sort of thing I love. I read about people who just use their scraps randomly but I can't do that, it never seems to look right.
I'm also still doing the hand embroidery on the Christmas wall hanging, hopefully it will be finished before I put the decs up.0 -
Csarina, I'm sure you will have a good stall, your work is lovely and your eyes are much more important. Take good care of yourself.
I haven't touched anything for weeks, life really is getting in the way. The recipient for the baby quilt arrived safe and well on Sunday, both baby and mum are doing well and are back at home. I managed to quickly do a label last night and hand stitch it on. Does anyone else feel like its cheating to use the monogram function on a computerised sewing machine to make labels??? Its the first time I've used it and quite like the effect but I do so feel like its cheating.
Some hand sewing going on at the moment where I can fit it in between life ...
Did anyone else make the twisted stitch show at Harrogate last week? I managed to resist the fabric but still spent too much and came home with more projects ... will I ever learn!0 -
hi Patches like you I have more than enough material but always seem to be buying more........must be an addiction !
Have finished quilting my niece's quilt so now just have to do the binding. I shall be so glad when it's finished , it seems to have taken ages and I think because it is a Christmas present I have felt pressured.
Hope everyone is ok especially Deleted_User
