Have switched to ornaments, did not turn out as I expected so need to try again. Stuffed Christmas tree, slightly better.

Deleted_User your output is amazing, loving those stockings and the table runner is lovely. Managed to get all my blocks together last night, now just have to add the outer sashings and then onto quilting. Was awake in the night for about an hour so spent the time thinking about how I will quilt it. Probably go with straight lines as I love the effect.
Off out for the day tomorrow to visit a quilting friend who is convalescing at her daughter's house in Warwickshire, 3 of us are going to take her out to lunch. Should be a good day.

At the machine again today. I tried out the ornaments but decided they were too labour intensive so played about and out came this....



Now I cannot make up my mind what to do with it.

I've finished cutting out and fusing the applique pieces on my wall hanging, I'm just sewing around them now. I'm not getting much sewing time at the moment, I've worked every day this week so far and we'll be going off to Yorkshire for the weekend tomorrow.

Will take a look at that Deleted_User, thanks. Have put the last border on my quilt, now need to do the quilt sandwich and then quilt it. Also have to find some fabric for binding.

Oh a quilting thread - how exciting :j

Miffy you don't need a dresden ruler just find a template shape and cut it out with some template plastic or card. Thats how I made the quilt for my Grandmother in a dresden design.

Looking forward to the big reveal aleceiffel Deleted_User those blocks look lovely as a table runner, might make one of those for Christmas. Welcome sammyjammy thanks for the heads up on the Dresden plate template. Have done no sewing today but must get it layered and quilted this weekend.
