Deleted_User those are lovely. Hope your sewing room is coming on. Haven't done any sewing for a couple of days but must try and do some this weekend. Am waiting to do taxi duty and take DD and 3 friends to town for Halloween drinks, they are all dressing up in her bedroom!!

Haven't got to my sewing table yet but just been for a lovely walk in the woods with the dog. For all you quilters who also like to read I have just finished a very good book that has quilting as a theme. It is called The Forgotten Seamstress by Liz Trenow. I thoroughly enjoyed it and that's one reason I haven't sewn today.

Hi,
Sorry, I've been very lazy the last few days but am starting to pick up now.
Here are the photos of my two latest finishes, a baby quilt and a variation on the celtic quilt I posted before. I think I prefer this version - it's not as red. They've both gone to their new homes now.

I've just got the sashiko work to do on my Japanese wall hanging and have started cutting out a Christmas hanging. It's a lot of fiddly applique work which I don't normally do so I'm looking forward to it - I maty be cursing it after a while.0 -

snoozer your quilts are gorgeous, I love the Celtic one and my DD loves your owl one. Love the quilting on them too, must try that pattern on the owl one. Deleted_User that sewing room looks very well organised now, good idea to have the machine near the window.
Once again not got to my sewing, too many things to do in the house. I have a P&Q club night tomorrow night so will get plenty of sewing in then.

Thanks Miffy, that was the first time I had tried that and am quite pleased with it. I made a template and marked it out but if I do it again I must remember that I will lose a quarter inch off the edge all round for the binding.
Csarina, your room is great, I'd like to do that with one of our spare rooms but I'll have to work on DH for a while.0 -
Snoozer love the quilts and the cat
Deleted_User your room looks great
I played with my new Dresden Plate ruler and have made a top,
not sure what it is going to be yet :rotfl:
Think I might make place mats.

THanks anakat. The cat belongs to DS and his GF, I occasionally cat sit on pain of not being able to see any future grandchildren if any harm comes to Tibs!0
