They are thin boarders. I love the way they outline the centres, so tend to do them a lot.

This is my sewing room as it is now. you can see the bed along the end of the room and in the one with a bookcase is the edge of the wardrobe which we need to move. The machine sits in a table which can be collapsed and carried quite easily.

I am not looking forward to the mess to be honest, but if I am to stay sane whilst I am sewing it needs to be done.

I had a play with the Go cutter this afternoon, it works well, I have only used one die which cuts large and small squares and half square triangles, I sewed then together and they were very accurate.

I will be having a go with the strip cutter on a yard of fabric for binding or jelly rolls.

Love those quilts LilacLillie I must try using those thin borders, they look very effective. Thanks for showing us your sewing room Csarina 2 it must be lovely to have a dedicated space. Have been at stitch club tonight doing some hexagons, don't know what it will be made into.
    Happy Quilting all :)

Waving - I'm still around but have nothing to report. I haven't touched a needle or piece of material since Sunday. I'm exhausted from sightseeing with sis-in-law. DH hasn't posted the pics yet because he's been working at home in the evenings. Hopefully normal service will be resumed at the weekend.

Welcome anakat looking forward to seeing your projects. Dresden plates are lovely, I have done some over papers but would like to buy a ruler. Have not done any sewing for a couple of days so will try to do some this evening. Snoozer hope you are having a rest today.

  • My sewing room is in bits, we have moved the bookcase and everything including boxes of fabric machine and table are in our bedroom, there is just enough room to get into bed.

Once the single bed has gone the floor will be hoovered and the table brought in, then the wardrobe moved along and the bookcase put in its new position so I can get to the heating thermostat, which is on the wall, really daft place to put it. to alter it as needed. We have to leave the bedroom door open otherwise the heating will not come on.

I will take pictures when its all finished.

I managed to sew the binding down on all the hangings. I have a table runner/wall hanging to layer and quilt, hope to get that done next week.

The straight stitch plate for my machine came this morning, so no more problems with the machine eating the edge of the fabric.
