I started quilting a couple of years ago and have managed some cushion covers (can't find as photo). My first project was a scrappy quilt, it was all made from charity shop buys of pillow cases, quilts and shirts.0

Welcome to luxor4t, Deleted_User, Flumina and AlwaysAllie. Also to squiggles the bottle walls were a greenhouse we built at the school I used to teach at.
Deleted_User your quilts are lovely , I hope I can be that good in 17 years time, I've been doing it for about 3 years. Cut out my next bag today and used bondaweb to attach the applique pieces, will do the stitching tomorrow.

Well I finished piecing the baby quilt yesterday and sandwiched it up. I'm very pleased with it, except that it's a bit big - the pattern I used was just for a small quilt.
I'll try to post some picture of projects I've finished later today but I think I need OH to show me how.0 -
Well done snoozer I'm looking forward to seeing your quilts. I have just finished the little owl bag for my niece so will try to get a picture up . Happy Quilting to all .

And this is the last full size quilt I made - it's called skyline, based on a Tula Pink pattern. It took me ages because the bloke I made it for is an architect and a close friend of DD, so I chose lots of fabrics of relevance to him and fussy cut them.0 -
Just a couple more - a baby quilt made with Babar fabric and one made with celtic fabric.

Snoozeryour work is beautiful, I especially love the Skyline one as I like modern quilts. Do you quilt them all yourself ?

Yes, I do quilt them all myself, the problem I have is that I love the fabrics so much that I don't want to detract from them with too much quilting. I usually use a walking foot and quilt in the ditch,or I have done circular quilting. I have done some free motion quilting as well.0

You've pulled me out of lurking to admit I have developed a fascination for quilting!
I have only this year turned my son's abandoned bedroom into a work room so am indulging myself with the various crafts I want to try. This way they're not spread all over the place!!!
Throughout all my experiments there is always at least one quilt on the go, at the moment I am working on a memory quilt for me - helping me to rationalise the stuff I have leftover from when mum went, This one will take a long time as I am also putting in fabric from all my kids clothes, holidays as well as bits of embroidery I am playing with or find in charity shops .... very much an experiment but loving it!
Also a baby quilt for a new arrival due in November, I'm just at the sandwich stage and starting to quilt it. I want to do better and free motion machine quilting. I think it may take time
I need to remember how to post pictures ... will do so as soon as I figure it out!0
