  • I dont understand it at all, I will wait to see what AOL tell me when they get around to answering my email. I was going to phone BT to get some more info but wondered if they might just tell me to switch back to them for my landline just for the sake of it.

    Even though talktalk is available at your exchange, AOL is still operated as a serperate service. (GREEN) AOL LLU needs to be showing as available at your exchange, otherwise you will be expected to pay £10 per month more than everyone else.
  • You can enter your phone number on the carphone warehouse site and it tells you what you would be charged. Unfortunately our exchange is one where we we pay the extra £10. So we will not sign up.

    Does any1 have any news on there router yet? my broadbands been set up and works great, very fast but no news on my router or laptop. I'm using one of those old BT AOL modems from years ago!

  • Does anyone know if you can get your broadband up an running if you have the old Broadband silver pack?If I reconnected the modem and cables if it would work rather than waiting for new items to be sent from CPW or is there a swich on date so to speak?

    yes you will be able to get it up and running with your old silver package as thats what i'm doing now, using that old AOL BT modem. works a treat, i did ring up AOL last week and theytold me the day my broadband was going live so on that day i tried it and works a treat until my wireless router comes!

  • Been with AOL years CPW guy advised me not to up grade the spec or the laptop as it is excellent and told me to save my money amazed I could sign up as an existing customer but as my 12 month thingy ran out months ago I am in luck very excited about not only getting an up grade but also a spare laptop its a fab offer and it's only about £5 more a month than I was paying so times that by 24 and I have a new lappy for 120 quid a bargain in anyones book!!!!!!! :T :T :T :T :T :A :A :A :T :T

  • hiyas , i registered for the aol/free laptop offer, got a few confirmation emails. im currently on aol and use BT for phone.. aol is £19.99 a mth, BT im on the free after 6pm and weekends deal. im confused by all the terms etc of free laptop offer,, do you have to take the talk talk aol package? im moving home in approx 6 weeks , would i still be able to get the laptop even tho i registered at my home address.
