Those that are posting who already have AOL, how do you find the service? I could google it but you only seem to get the negative that way.

    Thanks

They arent the cheapest, but I find the connection very reliable.

    What is wrong with CPW?...
Why would you want to keep your BT line?...
You would only need to look at the phone forum and read about all the horror stories people (including me) had with CPW and TalkTalk. Everyone also knows that only BT lines can accept you using override providers (almost free calls with things like 18185, 1899... etc.), use cheap international calls providers (from MSE's call checker) and can carry most of the broadband supply through their lines. The bottom line is that whichever advice you follow in terms of getting the best value for you phone calls, it will always point you towards keeping your BT line.
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

No not "everyone knows", I didnt!

So there is no way to use override numbers if you join TalkTalk?

Also if someone only uses the phone to make landline calls in the evening and weekends and needs broadband, then I would suggest TalkTalk's £17.50 offer is potentially "best value" and not to be dismissed outright.

    £17.50 (TalkTalk) - £10.50 (BT option1) = £7.00.
    £7.00 / £0.05 (18185 call cost) = 140 calls ANY TIME and for UNLIMITED DURATION/month using BT+18185.
I once again refer you to the phone forum where you can find all this information and the cheapest phone providers.

I think enough of wasting my breath. Good luck for all who want to go and have TalkTalk but if you have been on MSE for sometime then please at least read the other threads dealing with the subject.

Wow your arrogance and rudeness to me simply questioning your opinions, that you give as if they are facts, is amazing.

The AOL laptop offer is now active !!!!

I received a text message yesterday with this telephone number to ring: 0800 085 5110, I managed to place my order at 5.30 last night after not being able to get through earlier.

The guy I spoke to said there were options for better laptops, I only let him explain that one of the options was a 120GB Hard Drive before I told him I just wanted the standard free laptop.... I didnt ask but im guessing the other options are at your expense.

You dont need to provide your MAC code to transfer an existing broadband account to them, they informed me that you need to provide this to another number at a later date when the welcome pack arrives.

I havent seen this info posted anywhere else so thought I would be the first :D

Dont forget to thank me ;)
