It's probably a good idea to check if your exchange has been LLU'ed by AOL, you can use http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php
Handy site to know about, thanks.
The only ISP to be LLU'd in my area is CPW/talktalk0 -
is samknows.com anygood as aol said in the email that i can get it for 19.99 which means i am llu, but that website says otherwise0

Theres a reason why people call them
AOHELL0 -
yeah i think that sprung from Ntl hell (previous name to virginmedia)
but not everyone agrees with that0 -
I have been with Aol for 5 years and im currently on there £9.99 silver package. For me to take up this offer it would be £29.99 yet i live in the middle of a city it seems Aol only cover a small area for this LLU offer.
My question is why are they charging more is it better than the broadband they are allready giving me and do you think they will start to charge us all more.Number 4 due 21st jan0 -

People slate BT aswell, and orange and talk talk.0 -
the offer is for upto 8meg speed so its about as quick as you can go broadband wise, there is a 40gig limit. 40gig is a big allowance you would only go over that if you watch/download lots of tv/films online.
Your current 9.99 deal is the same as i am on, which is 1meg speed but unlimited use.
broadband prices have fell massively for years now, with even free broadband thrown in free with some companies. tv on demand is coming with 4od and itv and bbc doing the same. I can only see broadband prices going up in the future. Aol has never so far increased my charges, im not sure if they can but 9.99 a month is among the cheapest prices currently available, especially as there isnt no cap.0 -
Those that are posting who already have AOL, how do you find the service? I could google it but you only seem to get the negative that way.
Thanks0 -
