  • Firstly Guys, cheapest isn't always best. I once bought a cheap dishwasher from Currys, ended up paying £150 for a plumber for my troubles as it wasn't fitted properly and leaked every where.

Secondly, have you seen John Lewis Reviews on Trust Pilot?

I can't post the link as a noob but TRUST ME, you need to see why they maintain a constant 2.1 / 10 rating.

    Great advert, lousy customer service.

Thirdly, soft/hard medium. It's different for everyone. It depends on your weight and height. The firmness of a bed will differ between someone who weighs 8 stone to someone who weighs 18 stone.

Finally, find an independent retailer online, find the bed/mattress you want then go in store. Forget 40 night guarantee's, no one ever sends the beds back after a couple of weeks.

Instead of cheap mattresses, find a retailer that will recycle your old one with free delivery and GREAT reviews. Don't settle for anything less.

    Nuff said.

How do you use a feather topper? Do you put a sheet over the top or just sleep on it as it is?

    So:

    Sheet
    Topper
    Sheet
    Mattress
    Divan

I use a mattress protector on top of the feather topper, then the sheet.

    So:

    Sheet
    Mattress Protector
    Topper
    Mattress
    Divan Base

Haven't really got one that's comparable to the Crystal as yet.

For a memory foam product the King Koil Countess is very good, but it's a non internet brand, which isn't very memory saving!

This one is also a cracker, made by King Koil's big brother company Kaymed......

The company that I work for are now having to find around 7 different models to replace. Once we get them and I've physically bounced around, lifted and tried I'll post my findings.

    Hi ,

has anyone managed to find something comparable to these but for a single bed anywhere? Preferably without memory foam
  • Hello Pinkypants A long time since anyone has posted on this but I am after another Crystal 3000 pocket sprung mattress! I took your advice 3 years ago & purchased 2 from Bishops beds (which I am very happy with) but I see they are not doing them anymore sadly! :(:( I am after a small double one for my daughter's bed. Please have you found anything as good as or similar to the Crystal yet? I do not want memory foam! I have found that Happy beds are doing the Crystal in a 4' on Amazon & Tesco direct but they have not got great reviews & am slightly worried they are not the same one! Any advice, help, update would be greatly appreciated Thank you ......
