Hello,
There are 2 main disadvantages to a zip n link mattress, firstly the cost. They are a lot dearer as it's 2 extra long single mattress together. Secondly you may be able to feel the join.
Advantages, easier to turn, which is what you are after and also easier to get in the house with very little risk of bending or damaging the mattress.
As for the factory bed guys, I have nothing but praise for the chaps. They really know there, even more then I. I'm a salesman in a small interdependent store. Where as they actually make the stuff and from what I've seen they have purchased some top end products and ripped them open to see what's in there. A costly exercise indeed, but the only real way of knowing what the bigger brands are putting into the product.
The only down side to the Factory guys is the fact that they want to sell you their product. But it's by far the best selling pitch I ever seen in this trade.
I would trust with my money.
As for the product in question, sadly it's a little more up market then I used to so therefore have very little knowledge regarding it. Having said that it seems to have a lot going for it, good number of pocket springs, decent heavyweight natural fillings and hand side stitched.Hi Pinkypants,
You are SO helpful and really know your onions too:)
I've yet to replace my bed as have been decorating etc, so now am having to decide on which bed to buy. My current one is about 13 years old and when I first got it I was over the moon, it's a Relyon Supreme, soft and wonderfully comfortable. It was like sleeping in a cloud. It has started to dip slightly, possibly due to so much usage by my OH:( and of course its age. I understand beds should be changed every 10 years?
I don't want to buy another Relyon as I've heard their quality has come down....
I'd love a Vi SPring but it's outside my budget. However, I have seen an alternative made by Factory Beds Direct and going by everything they say on their site, they sound brilliant.
They do one which they say is comparable to a Vi Spring Tiara but is thousands cheaper. Of course, I can't try beforehand, but they do say they will refund if it isn't suitable. Bit of a headache doing that though......
So, two questions I have for you if you don't mind:
I'm getting a superking and my current one is just king size. Turning the mattress is a giant feat due to the weight of it. I'm thinking of getting a zip and link to make turning the mattresses easier.
Are there any downsides to zip and links, or are they much the same as a full mattress?
Second question I have for you if you'd be so kind:
I'm putting a link below to the bed I'm thinking of getting from Factory Direct. They go into great detail about it and say it's like a Vi Spring Tiara, so with your expertise I'd like to know if you think this is a good buy or not?
They sound a decent company but I'm a bit concerned paying a lot of money for something I haven't tested.
Many thanks in advance

Hi Fraise,
We bought a zip n link two years ago to replace our 13 year old superking and we're really pleased with it.
We have never felt the join, but we do use a mattress topper.
For someone like me who sleeps with someone who fidgets all night long in his sleep, it's been a godsend.....
And as we're knocking on a bit now, it's been a lot, lot easier to turn the mattresses; (not to mention being much easier for the delivery guys too).0 -

Thank you so much for your advice. You've been so helpful and I really appreciate it:)
I have made my mind up now and shall definitely go with these guys.0 -

Certainly!
Probably won't be for a good couple of months yet, as I need to order and it takes some time for it to be made, but I will definitely let you know0 -
Update.....
Restus and Kozeesleep have sadly gone into administration. Meeting took place Friday to try and find a buyer but sadly no buyer was found.
So for the moment looks like it may be curtains for the company.
I'll update once I know more information.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -

Warranty is with the shop and not the manufactor.
If it is faulty the store in which you purchased it from must offer a Refund, Repair or replacement.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -

Haven't really got one that's comparable to the Crystal as yet.
For a memory foam product the King Koil Countess is very good, but it's a non internet brand, which isn't very memory saving!
This one is also a cracker, made by King Koil's big brother company Kaymed......

The company that I work for are now having to find around 7 different models to replace. Once we get them and I've physically bounced around, lifted and tried I'll post my findings.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0
