    Wow! What a result:T:T:T

I know debt-busting is important (it's my own mission in life these days:() but you are doing a lot of extra work to do that so don't forget to treat yourself to something nice too. You deserve it:)

Re: Ferrer and Murray. I know David has beaten Andy a few times and that Andy finds him very hard to beat (and play). But I just feel Andy has the edge at the moment. He re-organised his whole schedule to pack in non-stop tournaments so he could get enough points for London. It means a lot to him so I expect he'll beat David in Valencia. But David lives in Valencia, I think he's a co-director of the tournament or something and it means a lot to him to win that particular one. Not sure where Nadal is in the final 8 but if he makes it I wouldn't be surprised if he pulls out because of his appendicitis. So if David ends up just out of the final 8 he might still be called on to fill the last slot in London.

P.S. Just seen this. Brilliant write-up about my favourite player, the comments from posters at the end are lovely:)

    That's a great article :)

Shows what I know - Ferrer and Murray are playing in the semi-finals tomorrow. I thought they were in opposite sides of the draw. Unfortunately it starts at 2pm, which is when I start work :(.

I don't see how he would get there in time. His matches with Ferrer are usually pretty long. He's in Paris next week, so that might be easier for him, if Judy is still in the show.

    I agree, Emz, expect a 3-setter with this one:rotfl:
If Andy wins he'll have to recover and prepare for the final tomorrow so no way could he go jetting off to London this evening:eek:
  • Hope you're having a good day at work, Emz:).

You'll be very happy to know that Andy has just beaten David 6-4 7-5. I was following the live score on the ATP website(no video, sadly)and I'm now fed up:(. Didn't go to the 3 sets that I expected but it did last about 2 hours for the 2 sets.

As I thought, Nadal has announced that he won't be playing any more this year so maybe David might just get the last London place after all. The reason I like the Barclay's tournament is that I get to see some of the matches live on Freeview (the only way to watch TV that we have):(

    Hi CBC.

Sorry Ferrer lost. I'm just on my break and checked the score. Must have been tight sets to go on that long.

I think he still stands a good chance of getting into London though.

  • Just watching Strictly and at the start it showed a few people in the audience. No sign of Andy but Jamie is there to support his Mum:j.

Nice that Jamie went to watch her. Hopefully Andy will be able to go next week. I'm not sure how far he will get in the Paris tournament seeing as he was so tired out after the match today. It was very kind of him to lose the first set so that I could watch some of the match after work though ;).

So, horrible day at work today. I had a splitting headache yesterday and today I've had a runny nose, sore throat, croaky voice and just feeling downright rotten.

I'm really not sure how I managed to stay at work for 8 hours. A number of times I was tempted to tell my boss I was going home. I've decided to do the extra hours I have agreed (12-8pm tomorrow and 2-8pm Tuesday) and then I'm going to refuse to do anything above my contract hours for the next couple of weeks at least.

I've got the hospital 2 weeks tomorrow, so I can't afford to be ill for that.
