OH's parents have landed - and are moaning as usual. Still, I'm off to work at 11am.

Got a nice £10 win on JPJ this morning, so happy with that. I'm working overtime tomorrow (2-8pm) - that's another £35 or so for next month.

Will try and get a couple of articles done tomorrow morning to add to the TB account.

    Better go and get ready.

What on earth has happened to my signature??

Anyway, my plans to do two TB articles today didn't materialise. OH's parents hung around for ages this morning and then I was at work from 2pm to 8pm.

I would say I'll get some done tomorrow, but I'm working from 12pm to 8pm . Means I'm doing 32 hours this week. They haven't asked me to work Wednesday yet, but I'm secretly hoping they don't so I can have a day off. I'm supposed to be meeting my friend for lunch too.

We went out for a meal last night - and OH's parents paid!! - I know, I nearly fainted when they offered!!

Anyway, I'm knackered, so doing my nebuliser then hitting the sack.

Thanks Lou - just changed the font on my signature and all seems to be well again :)

£5 Amazon voucher ordered from Swagbucks this morning.

It's going to be a long day. Hopefully I won't encounter any rude people with walkers today (I only offered to move a rail for a woman with a walker, to help her get through the gap, and she bit my head off!!).

People can be so rude:eek: especially as it was obvious you were just being helpful. I can understand people trying to do everything themselves (I speak from experience, I'm far too independent for my own good:o) but to spurn offers of help in a rude way is unforgivable.

I was on the High Street recently and an elderly lady with a stick/crutch accidentally dropped a few things onto the ground when her carrier bag split. I was nearby and bent down to pick them up for her saying "let me help you with those" but she was really nasty and snapped at me "I can manage". No "thank you" or anything. It's not as if her purse or anything valuable was there that she might have thought I was going to steal:eek:. I'm embarrassed to say I got a strange satisfaction from seeing her spend about 10 minutes and much huffing and puffing trying to retrieve them herself;)

    Have a good day x

That's exactly what the woman said - "I can manage!!". Practically shouted it at me. If I see her again, I'll just let her get on with it.

Hope you have a good day too :)

Had a rubbish night's sleep last night due to coughing, so I'm suffering today. At least I've had a day off.

I've picked up another two hours work tomorrow, so I'm now working 3-10pm!!! Not working Friday as of yet, so I should have another day off to recover in time for the weekend (9-4 Saturday and 11-6 Sunday).

I know :o, but whilst I'm okay doing the extra hours, I'll do them for the money. If it starts to tell on my health, I will just stick to my 18.25 hours a week - promise!! :D

Speaking of which, I've picked up another 11 hours next week (12-8pm Monday and an extra 3 hours on Wednesday - 2pm-8pm).

  • It will get really manic at M&S as Christmas looms and what with the plethora of colds and general exhaustion of staff you may well find you are asked to do more and more:eek:. I know you'd do anything to not let anyone down but your health is the most important thing especially as you have been through such tough times.

Promise us that you'll take extra care of yourself xx
