  • Hi there Emz! I'd love to know which bucket list item you're going to aim for first..... I've decided that I want to go to a festival, meet Eminem, buy a campervan, grow vegetables and retire early. So far the most unrealistic one seems to be meeting Eminem but I'm quite resourceful!

    Have a lovely week!
With family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!

    Hi :)

That's a good list. I hope you get to meet Eminem some day. Let us know what he's like when you do!!

I think the quickest one for me to aim for is getting that cross stitch picture finished. I'd love to get it done by the end of the year.

Also, I'll be able to cross off the Davis Cup one in March and OH is talking about taking me to Venice or Rome early next year.

I've noticed that they have booked me off on some days in October and November too, so I'm going to ask my manager what the hell is going on. My OH reckons they are making people take leave so they can't take any over the busy Christmas period.

It was nice to have the day off, but not really fair. Leave dates should be up to the employee.

Do you have an employee handbook at all that says they can make you take it when they choose? Or that it has to be taken within the year and can't be carried forward.
  • I'm surprised you haven't put 'meeting Andy Murray' on your list, Emz.

You could maybe combine that with seeing a Davis Cup match:idea: (that's if Andy still intends to play after losing his mojo generally this year).

Not as such, I'll check with my manager on Thursday.

I think watching him play tennis is enough for me. He has said that he will play in the Davis Cup in March - fingers crossed he's able to.

    Evening :)

I need to start building up the Amazon vouchers for Christmas (92 days to go ). If I can get the kid's presents with Amazon vouchers, I'll be happy.

I'm back on Superpoints. I've got 10k worth of points on there, but am waiting until I can redeem for a larger voucher so I use my points more wisely.

I've got £11 on my account already so I would like to get it up to £100 at least. Last year I left getting my shopping until Christmas Eve - this year, I want it all done before we even hit December. I have a feeling I'll be too busy doing overtime to be thinking about getting presents.

Hmm, could have sworn I did a post earlier on.

Anyway, I'm quite busy at the moment. I was in work last night and have been called today to ask if I can cover a colleague's shift tonight as she's off sick (6-9pm). I'm then in 2-9pm tomorrow and 11am-5pm Sunday.

I'm also in the process of setting up a website, which I'm hoping will be live by 1st October.

  • That's a lot of work, Emz:eek:. Make sure you get plenty of rest during your free time.

    The website sounds intriguing.:):):)

    Thanks CBC :)

The weekend was gruelling, I'm not going to lie. A sale started on Saturday and it was totally manic in the shop. To top it off I think I've got a cold coming on. It has been lingering for a while and I didn't feel great by the end of yesterday.

I've got tonight off, but am in 5-8 on Tuesday and Thursday. They should be fine, but I'm a bit worried about next weekend if I don't feel any better. At least I'm not working until 9pm on the Saturday though, that should help a bit.

We're off to the cinema tonight to see The Judge with freebie tickets. It's also my mum and dad's anniversary today (41 years), so will buy my mum some flowers.

The website will hopefully be up and running on Wednesday. I'll put the link in my profile as I'm sure it's not allowed on here.

Have a good day everyone :)
