Bucket List Ambitions of a Cystic Fibrosis Sufferer

Woke up at 4am coughing, didn't get back to sleep until gone 5am, so I'm now pretty tired. Unfortunately I have to be at work at 9am, so no lie-in for me.

I went in to collect my discount card yesterday and was told that I'd be doing a bit of training today, so fingers crossed for an easier day.

I finish at 4pm and my sister is coming over tonight to watch some movies. It's her birthday Monday, so an evening to herself (minus the kids) is her pre-birthday treat.

really hope work is good and you enjoy your time with your sister and the DVDs. I went over to my friend's last night and we watched about 4 hours of sex and the city!

Afternoon

So, I went into work at 11am this morning and my name wasn't on the rota. Strange I thought, so went to my line manager who said that I was supposed to be on holiday. I know I can be a bit forgetful, but I would think I'd remember if I was on leave.

It was basically booked off for me because I had some leave that had to be used. I kindly informed my manager that I wasn't psychic and needed to be told if that was happening. Very strange indeed - I'm also off Wednesday evening, so not in work until Thursday now. At least I'm still getting paid.

Yesterday was fine as I was training for about half my shift. Had a nice night watching movies too.

I'm still doing the school run on Thursdays and Fridays. Counting down the weeks until I won't be doing it any more (when they are both going to the same school next year, my sister will be changing her hours so she can take them and pick them up).

I've noticed that they have booked me off on some days in October and November too, so I'm going to ask my manager what the hell is going on. My OH reckons they are making people take leave so they can't take any over the busy Christmas period.

It was nice to have the day off, but not really fair. Leave dates should be up to the employee.
