That's totally subjective. Depends what you want, doesn't it?
One is more complicated and has two motive power sources.
Both can't be used for overtaking.0 -
I wouldn't fancy an early hybrid, and just look at it!
Could get a decent golf tdi for that money.0 -

I could imagine Victor Meldrew driving it smoking a pipe.
Neither of those Civics are pleasing to the eye, it's like saying would you like herpes or chlamydia?
OP just get a 320D and bang some M badges on like this.

I thought you liked Vauxhalls?
A Vauxhall with a (Fiat developed?) cdti would do ok.0 -

I wouldn't touch a diesel (Fiat sourced) Vauxhall with yours. Actually thinking about it, there's very few diesels I would even consider buying, certainty nothing that PSA has had a hand in.0 -

I wouldn't touch a Vauxhall diesel with somebody else's bargepole.0 -

1.3 isn't bad??
1.9 vag that's designed for a million miles.
3.0 bmw.
PSA? Isn't that in the jag xj? Reading up on it they try and put it in as many cars as possible as it's so good.
The 3 I listed are all you need, super economy, economy and a bit of poke, a bit of economy and plenty of poke.0 -

I suffered the 2.0 HDi 136 first hand, was great when it ran, awful money pit when it didn't. That's one of their more reliable engines too, the 1.6 HDi which is far more popular has an appalling track record.
Wouldn't mind a 330D but don't do enough miles to justify it.0 -

Try a Civic forum for answers to your question!
He was asking for best option for his situation, and I suggested that a £1500 conversion would save him a lot of money in the long run versus running 2 cars, whilst letting him use his good car all the time. It's literally a win-win.
OP - If you're looking at those 2 civics, what sort of driving are you doing; city or motorway? If city, the hybrid, if motorway, the diesel.0 -

Apologies, was thinking of ford-Peugeot 2.7 v6, not PSA (Peugeot link threw me)!
Yeah wouldn't rate them, vag or bmw at front of list.
Try a remapped 330d....!0
