Evening!!
Thought I'd do an update, as OH is out playing football and well.. actually have things to talk about
After work on Friday we went to get OH's car and so far, all is well! The smoke has stopped blowing and his MPG has gone up by 10 miles PG. He's got a long drive tomorrow and Tuesday so I'm just keeping everything crossed that this was the cure.
While he drove home I popped to use some coupons! I've had some Royal Canin (400g bag) vouchers for a while, the store manager kindly called the company to see if I could redeem them all in one transaction. Thankfully they got a nice thumbs up, so I walked away with £37.01 worth of cat food for nothing. Bar 5 minutes waiting on the shop floor :money:
Also needed to get some dishwasher tablets, and it's not a massive saving. However! I normally get them from Poundland, in boxes of 10. Decided to check B&M before hand, and snagged a box of 60 for £4.99. "Only" £1.01 but I think it counts. Drops the price per tablet from 10p to 8p.. seeing how I'm a bit of a numbers fan
Saturday we went to the Cinema, stopping for breakfast on the way with unlimited coffee to fill some time as we were an hour early for our movie. Came home, walked the pooch, had a filling tea and settled early to watch Fantasia (which was free, along with The Princess and The Frog) So a rather free and very relaxing day.
I've also been working on a little project, but waiting until I broke even before I mentioned it. But as I'm £4.18 away from that.. thought I'd talk about it in this postI've started a little eBay shop. I'm keeping a record of everything for my end of year tax return. As I'm a director of a company, I have to file every year regardless. I'm not seeing my accountant (that sounds fancy.. we mostly talk about conventions and new tv shows!) until December but I'm going to mention it to him then if all goes well. One more sale and I'll be in profit.
Speaking of the above, have a trip to the post office tomorrow. Both to pick up a parcel and post my first two sales over the weekend. Quite nicely the Post Office is just a 3 minute walk from my house so I'm happy to back and forth until I get into a proper routine with it. Fingers crossed it goes well while I can make it work, every bit helps n'all.
Not much else to say! Other than today was a NSD, did some meal planning with OH.. and that's pretty much it!0 -
Oooh love a good free haul! :T
Cool stuff about the ebay shop! What do you sell?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Forgot to say yesterday, but I've finally been paid and it feels sooooo good!
Even better is that I've been paid for my KIT days so my measly SMP got a £300 boost, hurrah! That pretty much all went towards the credit card and overdraft that we had to use to get us through last week because of course we ran out of everything all at once and a lot of it couldn't wait to be replaced (nappies and formula etc!)... but at least it we're back in the black now and we have a fridge full of food after I did a mega shop yesterday! :T
Work might suck... but having money from said sucky work is lovely!
Oh and during my mega shop yesterday I was stood in the laundry aisle for ages pricing up Fairy tablets and talking to [strike]Zach[/strike] myself trying to figure out the best deal and ended up getting 3 boxes of 10 rather than a box of 30 as it worked out 3p cheaper per tab, so I'm with you on the dishwasher tablets savings!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Feels strange not posting for a few days but I honestly didn't have anything to say! OH was away on Monday, I naturally slept terribly and due to a cheeky nap yesterday afternoon.. couldn't switch off until 2am this morning
Out this afternoon so no chance of history repeating!
Money wise:- 3 more ebay sales :j
- Yesterday was a NSD :money:
- Made a massive chilli for tea last night, spruced up left overs for later
Today won't be a NSD. And I now see my 20 NSD goal is out of reach  but I'll still carry on. See how close I can get
Need to buy:
3x Birthday cards
2x Birthday presents
1x Gift bag for the one present I had forethought for
Also going to look at some more stock for the eBay shop seeing how it's going better than expected! Not that I'm selling anything interesting, Birdie. Just odds and sods really!Work might suck... but having money from said sucky work is lovely!
OH's current mentality! Although I don't think he was complaining too much when his work paid for him to have "posh" seats at a football match in Birmingham on Monday night
Glad I'm not alone on the tablets!Do feel like I've cheated the system x2 as the same tablets work out at 21p a pop at the Supermarket  There's a odd comfort (to me, anyways!) in a fridge full of food too
Happy Payday!!
Can't believe it's Wednesday again already! Shouldn't complain as the weekend will be here before I know it, and the clocks go back on Sunday which is always a welcome changeAnd just 14 days until OH's payday, I'm on a count down to the deposit part of our signature changing!

Just popping on to say a HUUUUUUGE congrats, Ali
Glad you're doing well and agree that you've picked such a pretty name.
Sorry for the lack of posts. Been insanely busy at work/at home plus I've caught a cold that's going around. Life should be back to normal next week (only so busy as I'm in the office by myself!) so I'll do a big end of month post / new challenges for November on Monday0 -
Is it Monday yet?!
