Hi all
Fairly uneventful day today, other than DD getting in a tangle in the bathroom and leaving a puddlebless her. She had a gym skirt on and forgot there were sewn in shorts, so pulled it up instead of down :rotfl: the result of which was me wiping up on hands and knees and realising just how grubby my downstairs loo was
DS has some spellings for his homework aww. He also has a new book, so I'm hoping I can encourage him to read to me, he's very reluctant at the moment "it's boring".
Other than that, all I've done is load the DW and empty it once it was finished. So still barely a flutter here.
Managed to eat a better lunch today. I've been clocking up about 600 cal a day this week which is not good, so although I only managed half a jacket spud, it did have beans and cheese on, which really beefed up the calories. As a result a do feel less fatigued. Cheese may be my friend until it's all settled again. Then I'll have to ditch it or the weight will pile on again!
Spoke to boss man and said I'll be back at work on Monday. He said its fine to work from home next week if it will help ease me back in, but I think I'll show my face at least one day.
My dad is coming in the morning so I might ask him to cut the grass for me - or at least lift the mower out.
Right, kiddies have got the munchies so I'll go sort dinner. It's a toss up between cottage pie (which could keep till tomorrow), omelettes or pasta.Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
I've been sucked into the internet today
I've spent the entire day reading the C.Word-thread on here and following links. I did manage to make the pulled pork which DD now wants on its own for tea. She can have salad & wraps with it though, but she can have seconds of the meat if she eats the salad
Time to go off and explore a few more ideas while DD is engrossed in her bookCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
achieved today..
1 ranty email (parent partnership)
1 yelly phone call (b!tch teacher at school with a death wish)
1 bawling out of lazy child (tiddles.. 5 days to pick up her clothes is taking the pee so the whole street now knows of my displeasure)
1 epic rant (just general ranting, I don't think anyone was listening it was just to expel the negativity I was feeling)
I think my day is complete.. best part.. I don't even have PMT I am just piddled off at dealing with morons and nasty people.. my tolerance levels are through the floor.. why are people either utterly stupid or just plain nasty??? What do they get out of being like that? I am not a nice person but even I wouldn't deliberately cause upset or distress to another person if I could help it...
I'm glad I have you lot being lovely to restore my faith in humanity otherwise I think I'd have given up entirely and become a shack in the woods dwelling hermit!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Just had phone call from vet; Pip's protein levels are low and it could be that the Metacam is causing damage to her liver so got to drop that for a few days and give her some other meds he's going to leave out for me. She's eaten a bit of fish today and a tiny smidge of boiled rice and has drunk but still has blood in her business which is liquid - sorry
.
Done a bit of washing and that's it for Flying but hey, always tomorrow!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

Yeah, I'm kind of glad it's the weekend.. it gives me the whole weekend to rant it all out of my system before taking the to task on Monday. Why do schools think it is ok to make life difficult for children?? *rant rant!!*
I shall go do my nice calming knitting.. DD1's scarf looks like it will take a whileI want to start my next project already!

I have piped a cushion cover. The corners where the zip ends need a tiny bit of tidying up, but it's done and I'm rather chuffed with it. (I wouldn't want anyone to look too closely at it, but no-one ever does.)
I have also tidied my pin cushion.Better is good enough.0 -

That is flying to a level I shall never achieve :rotfl: Well done on the cushion cover.
Mumto2 get well vibes heading Pip's way
No flying today but I have:
Been to Pilates
Made new friends over a cuppa
Taken DS2 to get more clothes for uni
Sorted out my mother's problem with her tv box (she wasn't switching it off from standby)
Sorted the card and collection for the cricket coach
Been to cricket awards night (DS3 got the highest bowling and batting awards for his club)
Need to get DS3 to bed now and I don't think I'll be far behind. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Mumto2, hope Pip gets better soon.
Well done, Honey Bear :T
Congratulations to Dusty's DS3 :T
Where has today gone? I don't seem to have achieved very much - just a bit of shopping, cooking. washing and general tidying. And I have got (most of) the paperwork sorted for tomorrow's AGM. Oh yes, and I decluttered a fair bit of my bushy eyebrows - much neater now (and did DH notice? No!).0
