LW hope you and mrLW are well and his recovery is going to plan
Thank you; he's healed up nicely, there's going to be a good old scar, but it's where no-one but me will see it. He still has the other problem that's come to light, but now has an appointment to see another specialist to get that sorted out, on 25th September.

Ironically, I have to see the GP that day, and beg for an "open referral" myself; Mr LW has checked with the insurance company, and they will cover treatment on my hands, if I can get the GP to give me the referral. I simply can't go on like this; I'm to the stage now that I can't open the internal doors one-handed, and first thing in the morning, before I've got my paws moving, I have to wait for Mr LW to open doors for me!
Only problem is, it's not my usual GP I'm seeing, it's one of what Piggers calls a "baby doctor" (ie a trainee/newly qualified one) so I hope she'll give me the referral. I'm scared of doctors at the best of times, and doubly scared of ones I'm not used to, so Mr LW will probably have to interpret the total gibberish I shall doubtless spout when I see her.:D I also have to sort out my morphine prescription - my next meds review isn't til next April but I have 0 refills left - the last time I went, she didn't take into account that I have morphine on a monthly refill, not bi-monthly like all the other items, so she only put enough refills on the system to do 6 months, not the full year.:(

I'm not well again today - slept not a wink last night and have a stonking headache. I think I'm in full stress mode re the kitchen; I really, really wish I'd never agreed to getting it done.:(

However, we filled another archive box with glass/chinaware yesterday evening; the cupboards are looking very empty now. Also identified some more stuff to take to the CS - plan is to pop to Newport Pagnell on Saturday and deposit it at RSPCA shop.
We shall also pop into Wyrdo's for some incense sticks as we're running low; and if I can get Tony (the proprietor) to distract Mr LW for a bit, see if I can find a nice card, as Saturday is our wedding anniversary, and of course I can't get out to get a card without Mr LW being with me.

LW, do you have door knobs on your doors, if so may be you can get them changed for lever type handles, this is what we did for my mother, then her hands gave up, she could then use her arm to open doors.

Kazw we've got knobs. I know we could change them for handles, and it may yet come to that; but the thing is I want to get back to being able to do things for myself. I quoted the doors as an example of the silly, frustrating things I'm having increasing trouble with; there are many, many more.:( In fact, we normally leave most of the internal doors open; I just shut the spare room when there are dogs present, as I have food stored in crates in there - I just have to remember to put the dogs' brekkie in the kitchen the night before, as I keep their "luggage" in the spare room, too.;)

    Evening!

Ouch, kaz I hope DS is feeling a bit better :(

We've had an ok day, DD was quite tired so we stretched out on my bed this aft to watch a DVD and have a snuggle. My mum watched the kiddies while I went to the school meeting, which was good but tiring, and now she's gone so I've sorted the bedtime hour, first time on my own in a week! DS is still wittering, but nothing demanding.

So I'm also in charge of school run and getting DD to gymnastics tomorrow, also haven't driven so far, but I'm sure it will be fine. Other than that we have no plans for tomorrow, but I must remember to take pocket money to school in the afternoon as I have promised an icecream (we ditched our treat bowl some weeks back for my benefit :o)

Thinking of maybe asking one of the grannies to take DD for an hour or two at the weekend as poor DS hasn't had any time alone with me for a very long time. It will do us all good, I think.

LW.. sometimes the newly qualified are more willing to do referrals especially if you have a complicated history. You could always throw in the old 'I spoke to Dr Whatever about a possible referral before and he said to wait and see but I have now waited and seen and I cannot live like this a minute longer if there is something that can be done I think it would improve my quality of life to try it.' ... it playing on the assumption they want to impress practice managers.. Or you could be as stroppy as me and say 'I'm not leaving until it is done, so there.' .. and sit there!
