Another job crossed off my toots list - all the shady plants are sitting comfortably in new, big pots :D And I planted out some other bits into the flowerbeds. And I washed all the used pots and trays. The back yard is really tidy now, and I have made room to put in a small raised bed or planters for a few veg next year. I miss my home-grown food.

Then I folded up the washing, cooked a late meal, and we managed to see most of GBBO.

I've also put my new shredder to good use and nearly got rid of about 3 reams of old copy invoices and financial statements - they will gradually be added to my compost bin over the next month or so.

One box of old utility bills to go through before I fall into bed. We need to get up early in the morning so that I can take DH to the railway for his vol job, then I can do my new vol job nearby in the afternoon and pick him up when he finishes work. I've also got a hair appointment and need to go to the garden centre for some more anti-slug pure wool pellets to protect my potted hostas - the four that I've done look very snug with the blanket tucked round them, but it's not as pretty as Dot's rainbow dress.

The website didn't get a look in today and I've got very little free time tomorrow.

I am knitting a couple of winter hats for DD1's inhabitant .. she is due November so baby will be needing titfers!

I have 25 items thrown at ebeast now.. hopefully they will shift themselves sharpish for a squillion quids.. just shifting would be satisfactory! Why is it way quicker to list on your phone than it is to list online?? I can pop them up in 2 minutes now.. I tend to do a listing when I go to the loo lol.

Nesty time for me and OH.. I am shattered and we have diabetic clinic with DS3 tomorrow.. that should be fun.. I need to pick Tiddles up at 3:15, then DS3 and Moomin at 3:30 at a different school and get to hopsickle for 3:45 .. it may be tight!!

  • Morning everyone. Just done HHI to distract myself from the fact I am having a fasting blood test so can't have brekkie/drink!!!

Off out now then straight to charity shop so will take some fruit with me.

Will catch up later - love Dot's dress Pigpen - don't suppose you have an easy cushion cover pattern lurking about please? - no idea where to get patterns locally now as most wool shops round here are closed and Hobbycraft is rubbish for patterns!!

    Have a great day. x

I was out and about all day yesterday so nothing got done.
I took my best friend to see my mum who's feeling really down. She received a letter from my sister basically blaming my mum, me and my DD1 for everything that's ever gone wrong in her life
We took her out for coffee and subw@y (she's never been before) and attempted to put the world to rights :(
In the evening DD1, her boyfriend and I went to collect some vivarium lights, one for the boyfriend and one for me :)
Then myself, DD1 & 2 went to help out at my friends drama group. Didn't get home til gone 10 and were all shattered.

Today I have to wait in for someone to come and inspect my car for repairing. My next door neighbour drove into me last week  those on fb will already know this.
They're coming sometime between 8 and 4  I hope its quickly and I hope I get left with a car, whether it's mine or a hire car, I have have stuff to do. Need to buy more locusts and kitten food.
I'm going to go room to room doing a Toots List while I have time.

    morning all
didnt make it in yesterday, spent the morning sorting Cs stuff and finished boxing and bagging (there was more than i thought!) then did mils cleaning, then work, then spent the whole afternoon playing dvd tetris and sorting all the racks out trust me there are lots:eek: all are now neatly racked up and i have a bag full of doubles that ive told Dh we need to give to friends or donate to charity. if they arent gone by christmas the high school fayre will benefit as by then everyone will have forgotten about them;)
someone lent us a shredder so i had a HHCx2 chipping conifer but it was such a faff ive decided to just use the loppers and bag it for the council if they want it shredding they can do it themselves.

today need to blitz round and play catch up wit the lists. ive got stuff to put in the attic to clear the landing and want everywhere nice and tidy. DHs rellies are over for a meal at lunchtime and may come back here, so ive got tidying till work, grab a shower go work then meet them at the pub, with possibility of all back here.

doubt ill be around much so ive done myself a paper list so i can crack on.

pigpen, the knitted dress is gorgeous as is your DD

bossy hope you are still taking it easy

LW hope you and mrLW are well and his recovery is going to plan

    Morning all :D

Fizz - :D I do the same when I get new cleaning things :rotfl: I'm going to buy an attachment for my vacuum which means I'll be able to do above the stairs without trying to hold the henry in one hand and use the tube part at full extent while standing on tip toes to try and get the cobwebs that always seem to appear there :o Last time I nearly fell down the stairs and with a radiator & the front door right at the bottom that would not have been a good thing!

I didn't manage to get back on yesterday as DD came home and was doing homework on her laptop while I carried on with jobs and then I couldn't be bothered getting mine out and waiting the 90mins for it to do its virus check before I could use it :p So I watch GBBO and DD was getting very annoyed with me as I kept saying stuff like "its sank because she put too much liquid in it while it was still warm" or "I'd cool it down by whacking it in the freezer for 5mins then icing it to avoid that problem" :rotfl: She keeps saying I should go on it, but I'm nowhere near the standard required and I don't cook loads of different things, I stick to what I know which is basic cakes, basic biscuits, twinks and basic bread. Which reminds me, I want to make some dough for pizza this weekend ;)

I decided to concentrate on doing upstairs yesterday as it needed it. Today I'm going to do downstairs around paid stuff. I have lots of admin type stuff to do, my order is due by 10pm, I have to pay my last invoice still... so I'm going to do this in HHC today as I also still have loads of laundry to do. It seems never ending this week! :( Of course DD switching the washing machine off mid cycle didn't help yesterday as by the time I noticed (I was upstairs when she did it) the programme needed to be started again :(

If its gone its done or doesn't apply. It appears to be ironing & cleaning windows upstairs now :rotfl:

    DIY
Gloss Paint touch up (by window, fire surround, meter cupboard, door frames)
Emulsion touch up (along edges throughout, by door where DD has rubbed it away when trying to clean some spillage up :()
    Radiator foil back
Order FF, bookcase, shelves (need to work out which bookcases & how many shelves to order)
Deep clean floor to remove paint splashes - in progress
Rug out from understairs to be put back down - out but not to be put down just yet. Still need to clean the floor but needed it out of the way.

    Other:
    Prepare pulled pork for tea,
Laundry (DD bedding, towels x2 , DIY stuff)
    Form for school

    Kitchen and Dining Room
    15 minutes...
Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces - need to do shelves!
    30 minutes to spare...
    Sweep and mop floors
Clean the fridge and work anything that needs using soon into your meal plan
Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Got an hour...
Wipe all the windows in these areas!!
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
Wipe out a dirty cupboard... get rid of everything you no longer need and make it all pretty and tidy!
    Extra Mission : help yourself
    • S&S oven
    • Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    • Empty the bin.. wash it out.. and make it smell heavenly
    • Sort through storage containers in kitchen, fling any tubless lids or lidless tubs if they can't be used for anything, anything broken or past it's use by!
    Bouncing Bedroom
    30 minutes to spare..
Polish mirrors and any other shiny surfaces...
    Extra challenge:
    • Clean the window - make it sparkle in the sunshine
    • HHI
    Barnacled Bathroom
    :D:D:D:D
    Extra challenge:
    • Clean windows
    • HHI
    Living Room, hall and stairs
    15 minutes....
Vacuum through the living room, hall and stairs
    30 minutes to spare..
Dust standing objects including electrical items
Turn over and plump sofa and chair cushions.
    Got an hour to spare...

    Extras...
    • Sort out any mending that needs doing and have a go at it..
    • Wash any cushions, throws or curtains that need it..
    Frightening Kids rooms
    15 minutes...

Make an appointment for some ME-time.. hairdressers? manicure? night out with friends? .. whatever just do it! - Saturday, going to sit and do nothing except read my magazines while DD is out with Ex :D
    Got an hour to spare...
    Clean 2 windows
    Extras...
    • HHI
Right, off to put a wash load on, wash dishes (DD seems to have lost all ability to do the dishes since she went back to school  ) and then I think I'll fly downstairs and spend this afternoon doing paid stuff until DD gets in. I'll iron this evening while playing catch up with TV from the weekend which DD wants to watch as well. HHC then a coffee I think :D
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
