Chest of drawers swap complete.. OH upstairs building it now and this afternoon I have 3 hours to gut my bedroom and get the new drawers in and shuffle clothes about.. I am hoping to get a couple of binbags filled for CS.. I have BHF collecting on Monday so it all needs to be bagged, boxed and is being stacked in the hallway. I love flinging!!! I hope to be able to make a start on the landing boxes once my room is slightly more organised and the girls room sorted.. I do need more stacking crates at the moment but I am hoping I can get away with NOT having any more and just getting rid of the stuff that doesn't fit in!!

Postage bags arrived for DD1 and me so we can get our sales sent now :)

Best go hang out washing while Pixie snoozes and Dot stuffs her chops with the 3rd bowl of cereal!!!! I swear she is hollow!!

    Morning!

Love the dress, pigpen, very cute!

Yes, Mrs MP I'm taking it very easy, although I have DD at home today. But she's being an angel.

I'm feeling much brighter, think the after-effects of anaesthetic knocked me out of sync. On the plus side () I couldn't eat for a few days and even now I have little appetite. I have to take these hormone tablets for about 6 months and they make me ever so slightly nauseous / bloated / not sure how I feel in the middle. So I've lost weight (secret hurrah) although the consultant isn't too concerned, he put me onto a dietician to make sure I get everything I need while I get used to the tablets.

    Anyway, today's tasks are:
To sit with DD while she paints her sun- catchers she got for her birthday.
    Put 1 small wash on
    Bake 2 spuds
Pick DS up from school and attend the "help your child to learn" session at 4pm

I walked to school and back yesterday and managed fine, actually slept better for it last night.

So I think these are good goals for today. And plenty of time for a rest on the sofa in between!

    Gently does it!

So, good intentions and all that! I started cleaning the bathroom and whipping round upstairs this morning. Door knocked at 8:20, DS has fallen off his scooter en route to school and left half his face on the road. Some man has taken him into his house etc....
So I drove down there with neighbours boy who pointed out the house, I then dropped him off at school (poor boy was crying, I think due to the shock and the fear that he was going to be late in his 2nd week of secondary school :(, but I got him there in plenty of time- phew!). I then went back to get DS. A lady answered the door and said her husband had just left with DS and was bringing him home, she asked if anyone was home (DH was!) and then let me get off. So I got home to a bleeding and bruised DS who has gone through the knee of his trousers.
I've installed him on the sofa and have done loads since.
Baked 2 cakes, washed out 22 egg shells (for cubs tonight, omelette for tea for us and carbonarra tomorrow!), done 2 loads of washing, stripped all beds, cleaned bathroom and run DW. Just need to empty and reload DW, ice cakes, collect other bits and pieces together for cubs and get all washing folded and put away. I have about 4 loads piled on the DR table already :o.

Flying has most definitely slipped since Lily arrived 3 weeks ago.

hope he recovers soon lots of TLC i think while he gets over the shock.

I've just put all my old catalogues into the freezer to fill up some of the empty space ;) I normally just recycle them, but since I'm getting the new much smaller freezer I'm running this one until nearly empty. It saves sitting there trying to stuff it with other things as the catalogues stack neatly and 2 piles virtually fill a whole shelf. Its going to need defrosting before I get rid so the less I have to store the better! I'll have to remember to book the council to come and collect it and the fridge as well, they reuse/recycle or sell on pre-loved stuff ;)

Just got a letter to say my energy tariff is coming to an end so I need to add that to my list of things to do. ;)

Off to swap washing and do another HHC

Not much done here, though I have made a start on the bathroom (cat litter all over the floor was driving me nuts)
Had a bit of drama here. Speeding car came racing past the house, then police sirens, que me going for a nose outside. Speeding car had been dumped outside my friends house and police car in the street.
Long story cut short, driver had legged it after driving into the police car. In the end he was found in one of the gardens, thankfully not my friends or their dog would have eaten him!
The bloke had managed to set the alarm on his car before running off which one of the policemen managed to set off for ages.
When I finally came in after talking with my neighbour (not the one who drove into me) and the window cleaner, who had to give a statement along with me (I didn't see much though) there was three police cars out there and they were unloading stuff from one police car into another. I guess they're waiting for that car though driveable and the speeding car to be towed away.
At the same time all this is going on the inspector bloke came to look at my car and told me how much I can expect. Just have to wait for it to be agreed and the cheque to come.

So I'm sure I have good reason to be running behind :D
Now I can run out for Locusts, kitten food and cat litter

Fab dress Pigpen. I'm so glad Dot loves it!

Three smallish sewing jobs done now that the machine is out, up and running. Thank goodness for the Great British Sewing Bee - I now realise I can do more than I realised but less well than I should, so more time spent getting it ready for machining, sewing more slowly once the machine is going and ironing, ironing, ironing between the steps. Once I took the lid off the box of sewing projects I discovered there were thirteen. 10 to go, then, one of which is the dressing gown toile.

Was it you, Deco, who asked if anyone else is watching the Bake Off? I do, but on iplayer while OH monopolises the TV for Game of Thrones so I'm never sure when it's actually so.

Real (duster type) Flying is taking a back seat.
    Better is good enough.
