You are right to take on board, all possibilities, there are lots of cons that go around, have a look on youtube if there is a episode of the real hustle, they showed a car buying con, where people would occupy a house and have a car advertised for sale, after the payment was passed over timely there was a knock at the door and the 'police' were there, 'arrest' the seller leaving the victim in the house cashless and car less. Years back buyers would get robbed.
Getting someone to go on a flight with you at short notice could prove expensive.

Yeah seen that particular thing on hustle which is freightning!

I don't know anyone in Scotland, might post a thread on PH asking if anyone is from aberdeen, have a bit acknowledge about golfs and if they could come up to airport for a bit of support in exchange for £50 or something haha.

Yeah bit short noticed indeed for anyone to fly up from myside.

I meant that on all the motorway-like dual-carriageways and single carriage ways on your journey they are very frequent.

Between Perth and Stirling you pick up the genuine motorway and after that speed cameras are liable to be on any overhead gantry as they are on any motorway in the rest of the country.

Just to clarify this, the motorway doesn't start until a couple of miles north of Stirling, until then it's dual carriageway from Perth and there are speed cameras on it (and there has been a stretch at Gleneagles where they are doing work for the Ryder Cup where one carriageway is coned off and there's a lower limit, can't remember if it's 50 or 40).

Be aware that cruise control means you cannot decelerate in the normal way as you do when travelling on motorways to take account of the differing speeds of other vehicles. I only use my cruise control on uncrowded motorways. Use it when you hit an empty motorway but always be prepared to knock it off, or touch the brake, to avoid driving into the back of someone going more slowly. Never be tempted to stick the cruise on and hog the middle lane. Lane hogging is now an offence and will make your insurance unaffordable.
  • Top tip to you would be don't under any circumstance sit in the middle or 'fast' lane (I know it's not really) while you have room to your left to move over.
Keep left unless overtaking, or expect lots of angry people like me flashing you over. :)

Better watch out for my break lights and the two finger up yours salute out the window then. :p

I really hope you're joking, please keep left. There's absolutely zero need to hog the middle lane and force people to do change from lane one to lane three and back again.

Might see if I can get someone to come up with me or a mate to meet me.

I'm a young guy, don't want anyone thinking i'm some softie and try and any funny biz which I highly doubt will happen anyway.

I think bankers draft is more better, whether seller would accept that is another thing. Will ask.
If I was the seller I wouldn't release the car until the draft had cleared 4 working days later.

Best hope your not obstructing someone like our neighbour then, that nutter has just got 5 years for beating another driver so badly that both their bodily and mental motor actions are less than half what they should be and they are unlikely to recover fully from it.

If someone wants to go faster than you, unless you are a police officer then the best advice is to let them do it regardless of whether they would be guilty of speeding or not.
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

Scottish 'area' ? If you mean the country, 3 has the best 3G coverage here beating all other networks (OFCOM data, released last week). The road network is well covered.

Just a cautionary note; I had a 3 sim to test before current contract renewal and I was achieving less than 40% connection in terms of time in the areas of Central Scotland where I live and travel. I am not disputing but simply advising not to depend on any 3/4G signal in a given location to conclude a financial transaction. I did not opt for three for my new contract but did retain it on 3-2-1.
