Really why is the that? Is traffic from the airport at that time dreadful?

Actually, its worse than dreadful, the airport traffic is bad enough but add to that all the traffic going into the city down the A96 and the A947 that joins on to it, then you have to join the ring road (A90) at a roundabout that is a nightmare even when the road is quiet.

You were asking about speed cameras, on the road to Dundee, at the last count there were 17 covering both directions.

(I think I said bridge of Don earlier, it should have been the bridge of Dee)

BHX? If it were closer, I would take you up there, I used to have a MK5 GTI but manual, make use of the CC as R32 can be thirsty in standard form, it's probably going to cost you near £90 in fuel as those use super unleaded, and you may get 30mpg driving sensibly.

Dam, such a shame, would of been nice! Yeah deffo will be taking advantage of cruise control! £90 is what i am expecting to pay tbh.
What's your plan if the Faster Payment fails to arrive until the end of the next working day?

Camp out there until the next day? :) I will do everything infront of the seller, so if the very unlikeyhood chance of it not going through until next day, he will see I've made the transfer, knowing he will get the money as once it's been sent, it cannot be reversed, stopped.

And if his two "mates" appear at that point?

They usually quote 2hrs max, often I find it is instantaneous, I remember when I got my MK4 Golf, sent the guy the money before I had collected the car, it all worked out well, but I wouldn't do it again though.

I'm not referring to "usually" though.

A not insignificant minority of FPs don't hit their destination until the end of the following working day.

I meant that on all the motorway-like dual-carriageways and single carriage ways on your journey they are very frequent.

Between Perth and Stirling you pick up the genuine motorway and after that speed cameras are liable to be on any overhead gantry as they are on any motorway in the rest of the country.

Not really. They're in unmarked police cars. The first gantry with cameras is south of Gretna on the M74 500 yards before the border.

Every day a school day! - thanks for that Buzby.

I must admit I had overlooked the unmarked cars aspect.

And I sure as eggs is eggs didn't realise that the first gantry-camera on the run south was after Gretna.

The KFC at Gretna Services is one of the best in the country by the way. I think they change the oil more frequently than most.

Brilliant - now I have to wipe up around the keyboard as I spilt my tea laughing.

Might see if I can get someone to come up with me or a mate to meet me.

I'm a young guy, don't want anyone thinking i'm some softie and try and any funny biz which I highly doubt will happen anyway.

I think bankers draft is more better, whether seller would accept that is another thing. Will ask.

You are right to take on board, all possibilities, there are lots of cons that go around, have a look on youtube if there is a episode of the real hustle, they showed a car buying con, where people would occupy a house and have a car advertised for sale, after the payment was passed over timely there was a knock at the door and the 'police' were there, 'arrest' the seller leaving the victim in the house cashless and car less. Years back buyers would get robbed.
Getting someone to go on a flight with you at short notice could prove expensive.
