Works fine with the N770.
Had a few problems switching between the Laser Bluetooth keyboard (£30 from the Orange Shop in-store) and this iGo (£30 at expasys delivered if you use the £10 voucher from Hotdeals or the one you got with the N770)
I laser keyboard is very small and light, the iGo is about the size of the N770.
Both nice in their own way but the iGo "feels" like a real keyboard very clever design build quality is amazing. Took a while to get comfortable folding it up and opening it as it is so thin, but that was me not the keyboard!
The iGo has a cute stand for the N770 so it looks like a tiny Laptop in use, great tactile response with the iGo
Got Beardrop, aircrack and X-term installed but no root access yet is there a simple way to do this follow the dbclient root@127.0.1 worked but asked for a password?
Anyone who has got root without turning on R&D mode please let me know. I wanted root to run aircrack-ng
Anyone bought from these chap they have a USB cable to charge the N770?

Just got my Nokia 770 from play.com but the wifi reception is awful. I need to basically be next to the router for it to work.
I know other people have taken it apart and found out they they have an internal aerial missing.
Apart from taking it apart which I don't really want to do, is there any other way of improving the wifi reception or have I got one of the faulty ones that need to go back to play.com.0 -
Can someone help me - would i be able to view betfair.com okay on this unit?
ThanksI have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something0 -

I got Numeric a free spreadsheet program installed and working, it is very good.
I wanted to get a word processor such as Abiword for the N770 but the package says it is incompatible?
Does anyone have a link to a working install?
How have people found the built in Opera browser, I'm happy with it but is the Minimo one any better?Seth.0 -
can some one who got the navicore kit to work on the 770 please guide me thru it? I bought the nav kit separately from ebay, the memory card didn't have the executable so downloaded from the navicore website along with updated maps, now it won't accept the license code possibly because the 770 won't allow me to enter the first two letters 'CD' of the code only numerical characters are accepted.
Also my tablet seems to be crashing all the time, I flashed the operating system from the nokia site because it wouldn't switch on? even though os was the up to date one.
now it switches on correctly but things keep crashing all the time, browser, chesss, reader etc.
please help0 -
Hi
I had an Orange datacard contract and have just binned it (because their customer service is a joke - I don't believe Indian call centres work very well) and have now got a Web'n'Walk modem package from T-Mobile and in the SMTP server box I replaced
smtp.orange.net with
smtp.t-email.co.uk
and can now send emails using Outlook Express. My incoming pop3 setting remain the same.
T-mobile settings do not require the secure password authentication or the password authentication boxes to be checked.
This works for me. I hope it can be of help.0 -
From my local phone shop - or Ebay - you can get a little patch lead to convert the standard nokia plug (3.5mm) to the one on the Nokia 770 (2.5mm) this means that chargers I have can now be used with the device - plug in and car. I also have an el-cheapo USB phone charger from Poundland - seems to work a treat. The code is CA-44 on the product. Search for Nokia 770 chargers on Ebay and you can buy one for £2.50 including postage from Hong Kong - seller ibestmart_com
Anybody got Abiword to work???0
