Out of curiosity, where at Nokia did he contact? I can say with 100% certainty that you don't get that if you call the normal Nokia Careline. In fact, I'm not even sure if you'd get it fixed under warranty - they're aware now that UK companies are selling non-UK devices.
Exactly what I thought, but I did try contacting Nokia myself but all I got was phone numbers for my local service stores.
Would be useful to have a contact number we could use.0 -
ed77,
770s are going for at least £102 on ebay at the moment or £99.99 "buy it now". (I wish I'd bought 5 from Expansys for the reduced price when I first saw the deal!)
or if you don't mind buying from the US (use a Nationwide debit card): http://www.buy.com/prod/nokia-770-internet-tablet-internet-tablet-2006-software-edition/q/loc/101/204081472.html (You'll need to use one of the parcel forwarding companies or have a US address...)
MUHAMID,
I haven't managed to get my hands on the satnav kit yet due to liquidity problems so I'm not able assist on problems with it. Could the plug in on the link on Post #138 help?...and then the window licker said to me...0 -
Thanks for the info knuckledragger, I have just ordered one from amazon for £110 bundled with 2GB RSMMC card, it was listed under nokia N770, also I had a look at the N800 in pcworld today, they dont have the 770, the n800 was a lot smaller than I anticipated though.0

You need to install it from the mmc. Use file explorer and select the install file. The application manager should start and install. Once install run the upgrade routine to get latest version0

The Nokia Careline number is 0845 045 5555, it's on their website. The same people that deal with phones also support the Internet Tablets. (And other weird stuff, like Nokia's wireless internet webcam that can send you an MMS if someone walks in front of it.)0 -
