are you using the fully paid version? $20! i've installed orb, basic, strange software looked for my stuff and was wondering how it all worked as i couldn't see it as i also had their mediastream installed.but, hey presto it appeared after a restart and now i can stream my pics around house.takes some getting used to but is extremely wonderfull and full of possibilities.
I am only using the free version and think that Orb had actually stopped charging for their software & service. The free version seem to offer full functionality including remote TV recording (if you have a TV tuner attached to your PC).
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

Hi,

I started with the same settings as at home ie

pop.ntlworld.com
smtp.ntlworld.com

Checked and re-checked username P/W etc, still not able to send from 770. I then remembered that the settings on the pda are..

pop.ntlworld.com
smtp.o2.com

Tried smtp.t-mobile.co.uk (com) and many others, still unable to send emails.

Thanks

Email problem Sorted! smtp.t-email.co.uk (what else).

Another way of getting your mail is via https://www.mail2web.com I have also used multimap which works fine if you click on old site. Tableteer is flagging up a windows vista theme which is lots of fun. Shame logmein doesn't work but Orb is a good alternative. This is really innovative

My POP email account is NTL and when using a o2 PDA, I just change the SMTP server to smtp.o2.com and I can send and receive using my NTL email account. With the 770 I have changed it to smtp.t-mobile.com (and every variation I can think of) without success.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

FWIW on my Vario 2, I use smtp.t-email.co.uk for outgoing email!

When you say `ask them for the SMTP server`do you mean that I need them (t-mobile) to tell me what to put in the SMTP server box?

Yeah, they should be able to tell you what their SMTP server is.
