Sure do!
Go here: http://europe.nokia.com/A4144790
Download and install the 'Nokia Internet Tablet Software Update Wizard' (bottom of the page)
Run it and it'll talk you through the process:
- you switch the 770 off
- connect to PC with the USB cable
- turn it on while holding the home key (with the charger connected, you may have difficulty here but if you repeat a few times you should be able to make yours turn on)
- now your PC will take over, it'll check for a newer version of the OS on the Nokia website (I had to ask it to check twice the first time it didn't connect to the server, not sure why). There shouldn't be one but it'll give you the option of updating the OS regardless.
Whole process takes about 20 minutes. As the software says, make sure your battery is charged, you don't want to lose power half way through!0 -
Found someone who had a similar problem...
'I actually had this problem with mine, and I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, so far... *knocks on wood*.
I got my 770 last week. Charged it over night. When I first plugged it in I noticed that the screen powered on and displayed a charging icon. I slipped on the cover and let it charge with the screen de-activated.
In the morning, I tried to power it on, but it appeared to be dead. I remembered that the screen had been on the night before, so it couldn't be completely dead. I tried to power it up again, pressing all the buttons, holding the power button for 20+ seconds, connected and disconnected the Power supply, removed and replaced the battery, etc. Finally it powered on, but I had no idea what the trick was.
For the rest of the day, it was very difficult to power on during the several times I did so, but somehow I got it to start up each time.
At night I flashed over the stock firmware with the latest one, and I've yet to experience the same powering up difficulties again.
In my case I'm inclined to conclude that it is (was) a software issue.'

works fine for groovey browser, nice zoom using the zoom keys also one touch full screen. The whole thing seems to work well. i got a laser bluetooth keyboard from my local Orange shop thiis works well. I used the bluetooth plugin to get this working.
I think I might buy a stoway keyboard can any one recommend one?
Also any advice about using a keyboard for text entry on the n770 welcome.
I like the form factor and the Nokia quality hardware and software works very well.
When using BT make sure that you give unit time to boot.and connect to wifi before powering up the BT keyboard.
Written on a laser keyboard 30 quid from Orange store down from 130 see post on grabbit main board
Hi Seth! Could you please let me know where you got the driver for the Laser keyboard to work with your N770?
Thanks!0 -

Works with any compatible BT keyboard and or Sat Nav, install and REBOOT and a new BT Icon appears in the top right of the screen next to Wifi, Battery, Volume.
The first time you use it you need to pair the devices. It was odd as you must get the Nokia searching for BT devices and then unpair the Laser keyboard Fn+Shift+B (for >3 seconds) and the blue light will start to flash (the unit does this out of the box but if you have paired it with another device like a phone and want to use it with the Nokia N770. On the N770 side you get options for other languages I selected the "default" keyboard option and it all works fine. The "/" key is on the far right of the laser KB! Important if you want to use Xterm shell access.
Anyway all works fine.
I love the laser keyboard, small, light works fine in most situations on the go. Ideal for use in a hotel or airport lounge when you don't have a laptop.
I wanted to try a physical BT Keyboard as I type a lot (remember there is a range of *Nix editors like Joe, Emac, etc for the N770 and a several GUI editors for text all free)
One thing I realised is that for document editing control keys are important as I did not want to use the sylus to select or cut / paste text. With terminal editors this is not a problem so.... I've ordered another BT Keyboard from Expansys this is the iGo foldable one it is branded Dell and is £3o odd, use the £10 off £20 orders sent with your N770 also on Hotdeals. To find the keyboard search under keyboards and then BT. The Expansys search did not show it. The iGo is £70 odd and the Nokia BT Keyboard is that kind of price.
So I spend £80 on the N700 and £30 on the laser keyboard and £40 on the mechanical BT keyboard. The accessories cost as much as the deviceSeth.0 -

I suggest anyone else with this issue returns the unit or contacts NOKIA for a better solution! I guess they maybe aware some units have gone out without the aerial in as it seems that the internet community is aware of lack of range on some N770's.
Nokia won't help people with taking ANYTHING apart, and obviously opening it yourself invalidates the warranty, so they won't even take a look at it after that.
Of course, no European warranty on US devices anyway - I think you'd need to send it back to the US if you wanted help from Nokia. Better off going back to Expansys/Play.com if it's not working.0 -
not bothered really - got it working now and its fab! Have been looking into connecting a bigger, external areial to see if I can get more range!! lol!!0

Anyone using t-mobile web n walk with their 770?
I am using Nokia N95 as a modem, accessing the internet and receiving email is OK, but can`t send email.
My POP email account is NTL and when using a o2 PDA, I just change the SMTP server to smtp.o2.com and I can send and receive using my NTL email account. With the 770 I have changed it to smtp.t-mobile.com (and every variation I can think of) without success.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.0
